Mine had a faulty hinge on the screen and one day it snapped and began making sounds. I contacted the Microsoft Surface team and they originally agreed that it looked like a faulty hinge. However, once they received it they said that even though it was a faulty hinge, it would cost me $350 for a replacement. I explained I never dropped it and they agreed there was no damage. They insisted on the $350 to replace it. I declined and bought a MacBook Air. I have another surface laptop and it’s built great! This one has a lot of plastic and as I learned the hard way, it has weak spots. Just be aware that even though it maybe a design defect, they don’t cover any of that in the limited one year warranty. Even if it is not your fault! Don’t waste your time or money. Get a MacBook Air or a refurbished one. At least they acknowledge when it’s an apple issue and will help you out. Never buying surface again.

Great bang for the buckage

She does say that she hasn't learned how to properly use it to the best of it's abilities but she's getting there. I myself have a surface pro 7, and love it.
