Bought this for my freshman grandson who just started school this week so commuter wasn’t used 2 days and was a defected item . It wouldn’t stay powered on . My daughter attempted to return and was told it had been longer than 2 weeks and would have to contact Microsoft which was a joke . Was told it would be repaired with refurbished parts !!! Not right it was never used !!! School just started ‘I felt this should have been exchanged for a new one and Best Buy should have returned to Microsoft especially because it hadn’t not been used yet !! Bad business

One day the computer went to sleep and no longer would boot up properly. Will be returning.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has been super great and reliable everything has been working just fine up until today and my keyboard stopped typing which was super annoying because I was in the middle of a group project for class and looked stupid with my broken laptop so I had to call customer support which took 45 minutes which they did get the problem fixed but it was just sad it stopped in the middle of an important project which I know isn’t Best Buy’s problem other than that I haven’t had any issues and love my laptop so far I just wish I was a little more tech savvy when it comes to things like that

Placed on shelf & not touched again till attempted to use 5/5/21. Will not turn on even after charging. Shows black screen and cursor. Of course it is after Best Buy’s rerun period. Definitely would not buy again.

The screens starts to go in and out but you can still hear. I've had this one for a month & of course it has taken about 2wks for an appointment

I purchased this this laptop for school and did not use it right after I purchased it. I finally took it out the box a month later when school started, and it has not even been three months yet and its already glitchy. I would not recommend this to anyone. I regret this purchase.

Microsoft support are ok, however the first agent chose to ignore my communication. Fair play, they have tried to fix it, but are unable to do so. They have offered a substandard replacement of a refurbished laptop. this is not acceptable as the device clearly had an issue with it. i didnt read all the reviews when buying and it appears that it seems to be a widespread issue

I tried everything from updating drivers to reinstalling the monitor with no improvement. I now have to ship the brand new computer back to Microsoft for a hopeful fix. Do yourself a favor and google "microsoft surface image retension issues" before you purchase this subpar laptop.

Not a huge deal got the job done. However I turned it off one night went to turn it on in the morning, and boom nothing. 100% sure it was charge it was on the charger all night and plugged in. I returned it and bought a MacBook Air. With the M1 chips they greatly out perform these anyways and much more bang for your buck.
