This is the second Surface Laptop Go I've purchased this year for a family member. The device are high quality at a convenient size.

great laptop, bought it for my wife for school. she loves the color and the portability. Only had it for a few weeks so far it had been great.

The Surface Laptop Go is a nice edition to the Surface line by Microsoft. Much like the Surface Laptop, this is a more lightweight version both in power and size. If you like the size of tablets but wish it had a solid keyboard for typing, then this may be the product for you. As far as laptop goes, it is incredibly mobile. Extremely lightweight, and you can basically carry it in any bag. The finish is smooth with no rough edges, and a very solid keyboard with no flex. Also nice is that even with the laptop stressed and running hot, the keyboard area and palm rests stay cool to the touch. Another nice edition of the keyboard is the fn keys are toggleable. Instead of having to depress two keys to activate your alternate f key functions, you can toggle it. Other things to notice is Windows has come a long way to accommodate touch screens. I have notice that it has become more convenient to use the screen in combination with the keyboard that with the touchpad sometimes. Performance wise, this seems to be a nice compromise between performance and mobility. The i5 that this comes with is no slouch; it comes packed with 4 cores and 8 threads. I am able perform all daily tasks without lag. I am even able to do programming and remote sessions with ease. If you require more power, then you would be looking more towards the Surface Laptop. However, for most things (browsing internet, watching videos, word processing, etc.), this laptop is more than enough. The battery life is also quite decent. It advertises 13 hours from light browsing and tasks, and I can see that. Since starting this review, I've used about 3% after about half an hour. There are not many things to complain about this laptop. It was designed with the purpose of being lightweight and so it would be unfair to criticize its tech specs. That said, you can really push the cpu to its limits by stressing it at 100% for a couple of minutes. The temperature reached as high as 96 degrees celsius. At that time, you may find it too hot to put on your lap. You may also find the IO ports a bit lacking seeing as how you only get 2 USB ports. It would have been nicer to have one port on each side, so that if you decide to use a hub then one port would not be blocked. Overall, this is a great laptop for those who are on the go. If you've ever used the Surface Go and wished for a little more power and keyboard, then this is the perfect replacement.

I have wanted a Surface pro for some time. This does what I need it to do but isn't as pricey as the previous laptops. I really like this laptop.

Great option for students if you can find it on sale. As long as you’re not doing anything to taxing you should be fine.

I purchased the Surface Laptop Go to replace my Surface Go 2. I used the Go 2 as a device when travelling but wanted to replace it with a traditional laptop for the keyboard, as it's hard to be as productive on a tablet even with a keyboard attachment. The Surface Laptop Go is 12.4" which I like, I really wanted as small as I could get on a laptop for use in my car. I have a high end laptop as my main device, and using this as an "on the go" quick thing will work well. Microsoft makes quality Surface devices, and this is no joke for the price.

The first word that came to mind after unboxing this Microsoft Surface Laptop Go in sandstone was “stunning”. The image on the box did no justice to the clean lines, smooth curves, and eye-catching color when viewed in person. Available in an array of striking colors all with a metallic sheen- sandstone, ice blue, and platinum. The sandstone color is very similar to rose gold. I immediately wanted to run out and purchase a protective case to keep it from getting scratched but then I realized that it would conceal the elegant housing …dilemma, dilemma. Petite and ultraportable this laptop weighs in at just under 2 ½ lbs. and is roughly 8x11 inches with a super thin profile of 0.62 inches. It has a 12.4-inch screen and fits easily into a large handbag, briefcase, or backpack. This laptop does not support tablet mode. Microsoft packs lots of features into this small parcel. Many different configurations of this laptop are available (memory of 4GB or 8GB RAM and storage of 60GB, 128GB, or 256GB) dependent on your needs. These different options all influence the price point. All models have a headphone jack, are 5.0 Bluetooth enabled, have a 720p front facing camera and speakers and a microphone that produce very clear audio. Fast Charging via USB-C provides up to 13 hours of battery life. I do wish it had more than one regular USB port though. The keyboard is full-sized but does not have a separate numeric keypad. It also has very handy rubber pads on the bottom that serve to brace it on slick surfaces. The built-in voice assistant Cortana quickly and easily guides set up. Login is via a PIN or your fingerprint. The OS (Windows 10 Home in S mode) is very easy to navigate and the LCD touchscreen and full-sized trackpad are very responsive. The Surface Go Laptop is a great midlevel computer perfect for someone who totes their laptop with them daily and uses it for basic tasks like email, telecommuting, surfing the web or on-line learning. It doesn’t hurt that it’s stylish and elicits plenty of compliments too. Microsoft as part of Best Buy’s Tech Insider Network Program provided this product at no cost. Love this laptop. The color is nice the size is a little on the small size but that’s why I bought it. To make traveling easier.

For the price it's a nice laptop. Its easy to use and you can take it with you. I haven't had it very long but so far i have had no problems.

New laptop for daughter-in-law. She had/has a Mac but wanted to try a Windows laptop. I recently upgraded my SP3 for the Surface Laptop 4. My daughter has a SP3 and my son the Surface Laptop. We are very happy with our Surface products and recommended to her. I receive Best Buy Deals of the Day emails and texted her this model not knowing if she would like/get it. She got the Sandstone model and amazing savings that night.

Easy to use and set up. Hopeful to get this to last longer than my college student's 2 other machines.
