However, I would not recommend it for any other Surface than the Studio b/c I have the Surface X and when I close my keyboard, the pen magnetizes to my screen instead of keeping on the keyboard as the Slim Pen would. Still a great pen, I just wouldn't get it with any other Surface than the Studio

We're glad you're enjoying your Surface Pen so far! We'd just like to chime in and clarify that Surface Pen does need batteries as a source for power. It's true it easily magnetically attaches to your Surface device, however this is not a method for charging. To help you get started, you can easily purchase more batteries at Best Buy here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-aaaa-batteries-4-pack/5890419.p?skuId=5890419.

The pen is responsive and accurate, and the build quality is top-notch. The biggest drawback, depending on who you are, is the fact that it has a replaceable battery instead of being a chargeable pen; however, I actually prefer a device that I don't need to keep another cord around for, so I'm totally OK with that.
