This accessory isn't as crucial to the Surface experience as the keyboard cover. I'm actually disappointed that the pens no longer come as standard. And for some reason, every time I give it to someone to try, they end up holding down buttons while trying to draw, resulting in a poor experience for them, though when put in the hands of someone that knows what they are doing, it performs adequately for writing and drawing. If your primary reason for purchasing a Surface is to draw/take written notes, absolutely get this. If your primary reason is to check your facebook, maybe do some youtubing, and watch netflix, skip it.

Great product... easily paired with Surface. Even works well with glass screen protector.

If you have a surface you need this.....It is indispensable as far as I am concerned. The magnet holds it onto the side of the unit so well you will never be without it. It is easy to adjust at ANY time....not just at setup. Double click the erase and it will capture the screen and pop it into a paint like studio to highlight, note draw.....I love this tool, If you have a Surface and do not have one of these GET IT. It is one of the best reasons to OWN a surface....

This on works very seamlessly with the Surface Pro 7 touchscreen. As a college instructor teaching online for the first time, this has been a great help for my recorded lectures with PowerPoint. What I like most about it is the fact that it works intuitively. Then end erases like a pencil. Because of this, I don't have to think much about what I need to do during the recorded lecture. I HIGHLY recommend.

I don't use my pen much, but for what it does it's very handy and worth the spend. If you keep a gazillion tabs open, it's nice to use because sometimes your finger will close the wrong tab. I love signing documents with the pen. It's been thrown in my bag lots of times and still performs. Great buy.

I bought my brother a surface for his company and what surface is complete without a pen. He uses this to draft plans and draw outlines of customer job site details and requests. Works great! The first pen I bought did not work and best buy replaced it and he has had no issues at all with it.

The pen has been a useful product, particularly for taking notes quickly rather than using the keyboard. It also has a fairly strong magnet to allow the pen to stick to the side of the Surface. My only complaint is that it can still get dislodged a bit too easily and I have to be careful to ensure it is still connected. It appears that newer Surface keyboards have a space to secure the pen. Sure wish I had one of them!
