The installation to my HP laptop was a breeze. It literally connected the moment I tapped it on my laptop. No waiting to install. I love using it and so does my children. They get to use the color app easily with it.

I was not interested in the surface pen until the sales person explained the features and it was on sale. I'm very glad I purchased it. It is great for drawing and accenting. Also being able to write with the pen and it types it for you is great. It was on sale also.

I need the pen to do more with the surface pro, Because the surface pro does not come with a pen, I knew that it was a great compliment to the new computer and it would allow me to write proficiently and legible with the surface pen. I would highly recommend the surface pen to any one that may purchase the surface pro.

This is a very handy accessory for the tablet especially if you want to "hand write" notes or draw on the tablet. The pen has a magnet inside that allows it to stick to the tablet. I haven't tried to replace the tip as the pen is new but I am interested to see if this could be easily done.

I am new to the Microsoft Surface. Having said that I find the Surface Pen very useful with Photo Shop, which I use often. It was very easy to pair. There are a couple of things that I found annoying. Because of the small diameter, I find the pen twisting between my fingers. It would help if the pen had a rubberized grip. Also the gray tip on the pen gets lost on the screen when I am trying to correct things with similar screen colors.

The Surface Pen is decent, but has some flaws. The price for one. Even though I got mine on sale it was still more expensive than other similar quality styli (Wacom Bamboo Ink). I do like the eraser (and find the irony of Apple's Pencil lacking such to be amusing), and while it works fairly well, the magnetic attachment isn't perfect even when using Surface devices. I'd prefer a more secure fitting (and doubt the more oblong shape of the newer Surface Pen will resolve that). I bought to use on an ASUS ROG Flow 13 and it works. I do wish we had an industry standard for high quality, battery less digitizer tech so that we could use styli regardless of the brand and not have to have batteries to use it (while still getting good palm rejection and quality input).

Design is cool, purchased with a surface book and love that this pen magnetizes to the side of the screen so I don’t lose it. I use the pen feature all the time because I am a math student and write out my math homework using the tablet mode and pen. A worthy addition to your laptop/tablet purchase.

I love the apps and the compatibility it has with the software. The magnet does not stop the pen from falling off when you put the surface in your laptop bag or purse. Be careful you don’t lose it. Would be nice if there was a clip on option so it would stay on better. Love the color and use the pen frequently.

a must have with any surface. the pen makes basic tasks so easy. really like the option to write on screen when you filling out forms, didnt know how handy that would actually be. also you can redirect the apps that open based on pen clicks which i really nice. just wish the extra tips were included

Love having the Surface Pro and pen combo. It's made everything easier and given me the ability to capture sharper screen content and quicker to take measurements and notes. Stays charged and the magnet is such an awesome bonus.

Bought this pen for use in editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Spark, Illustrator, and Design, as well as architectural programs such as AutoCad and Rhino. Works great and is super easy to use. Battery operation allows for portable use where there are no charging ports.

Always use it, one of the best things I can use to draw or write.

Just added this to my Microsoft Surface and makes using my computer so much better! I am too clumsy using my hands on the touch screen. The Surface Pen works great and is a must-have for any Surface computer!

I used it for 10 days and exchanged it for a bamboo ink. This pen has its issues. I really liked the surface pen but it has its issues. For me it manifested in the form of a noticeable offset in accuracy around the corners of the screen while writing. Almost every other line, I had to erase the last 1 or 2 words near the edges of the screen on the OneNote app. Drove me NUTS! For note taking, I believe Ipad Pro + Apple pencil are the best hands down. However, if you want to stick to the windows ecosystem (like me) and you want to mainly take notes, then WAIT for Microsoft to FIX THE BUG with the tilt sensor in the new surface pens. Until then, you will be happy with the Bamboo ink.

Very techy piece and I love it! I was not sure what to expect initially with the pen but I love the functionality and the fact that I could use it for many varied functions- I’m still getting to know and use the pen but an absolute yes for anyone interested!

Very good stylus. Fell very good to hold. The eraser feature in the top is very convenient.
