It is the perfect addition to maximize the touchscreen tablet's ability. The pen features over 4x the number of levels of sensitivity compared to its peers. Bought this because I thought I had lost mine but coincidentally found my pen, same exact pen but in maroon the next day and no longer had the need for the replacement.

My young daughter loves it though she prefers pen to actual paper still.

I use my Surface Pen mostly for note-taking as a clinical social worker when I'm in the field with clients. This would have been a great addition when I was a grad student.
