Stops working after a week or two

This was a replacement for a pen MS told me was defective. Exact same problem in both pens, full battery, eraser button still works, but pen tip doesn't show a cursor on the screen. I tried everything and MS has told me this pen is also faulty and are sending me another one. I have very low hopes.

The magnetic is strong enough to attach to my Surface Pro and I've not had any issues with it.
