I used it in all three ways, designed presentations for work, made lots of art with it on my surface book, and took notes in class. I’ve owned it for a while and it definitely holds up well, I tend to press very hard and I actually lost my replacement tips for a bit and used one for the majority of the time. Great value.

Pen Works Well But Tip is wonky after 6 months
