Customers are saying

Customers love the Surface Pen for its ease of use, overall performance, and compatibility with devices like the Surface Go. Many appreciate its accuracy, comfortable weight and feel, and sleek design, with some also highlighting the availability of different colors and the convenient eraser feature. However, some customers find the pen to be a little pricey and have concerns about the tip durability, while others have noted issues such as lag and the lack of a clip, as well as the magnet strength.

I bought this pen to work with my Surface tablet. It's magnetic and stores right onto the tablet. One click of the top and the whiteboard pops up so conveniently. I like that it's not super thin, it's a good, sturdy size. It paired immediately with my tablet. A+

    Great accessory for Surface

The pen is often the only accessory I use with my Surface Pro, moreso than the type cover. I use my Surface Pro for note taking and drawing a lot, so this makes sense. The pen works really well, feels premium, and has a battery that you only need to replace once or twice a year. The only downside I can think of is the fact these are no longer included with the Surface Pro itself.

Great for jotting notes on my Surface Pro, much easier than using the key pad in tablet mode. Also great for drawing. Some complain that there's no on/off, but all you have to do is slide the battery cover part way. The magnet holds it to the side of the tablet when not in use.

Five stars -- this thing works well. Really would like a clip of some sort for clipping to a shirt or coat pocket. When I'm moving around, the pen can be easily knocked off the edge of the tablet -- no practical way to make the magnet strong enough. Maybe some sort of after-market clip?

The poppy red is delightful and makes it easier to find when I set it down. My last pen was the one with the long button. Just FYI so you know what I am comparing it with. It is more comfortable, the buttons are more responsive. And the pressure sensitivity seems improved. I do miss the clip though.

It does what its supposed to do and better than any others on the market. I got it on sale so it wasn't as steep of a price tag. That being said I'm not sure if it's worth the $100, but it also works significantly better than other pens on the surface book 2. Would I buy it again, yes. Would I pay the $100 for it...not sure.

I had the Surface Pro 3 pen and instantly noticed the difference when I began writing with this pen. The SP3 pen felt a bit mechanical and unnatural. This pen though feels like a regular pen and my handwriting is much better represented with this pen compared to the SP3 one. I am not artistic but can imagine the difference this makes when drawing or painting.

This pen makes using my Surface Book 3 sooo fun to use! With a click of the button, I can open up Microsoft Whiteboard, Microsoft To-Do List, or StickyNotes to quickly write or draw something down. It is a great stylus as well! It magnetically attaches to the side of the computer for easy portability.

The good is that this thing doesn't lose charge. As of this review I'm still on original batteries a year later. Integration with Windows computers is pretty good with one exception. The clicker doesn't seem to do anything meaningful. The pen tip and eraser are easy to figure out, but the click button doesn't really seem to be useful. I may be missing something but seems like that should be intuitive.

I use this pen with Photoshop on my surface pro. The pressure sensitivity is perfect for the program. Its comfortable in my hand like a real pen or pencil and the weight is perfect. The magnet is also great and I never have an issue with the pen falling off of my surface pro. This pen with the surface pro is a great set up for on the road digital art.

It’s a nice pen and registers well. The pen is also magnetic and sticks to the side of my surface pro 7 which is useful because i wont lose it. When using the whiteboard you can use the rounded part to erase like a pencil and clicking the top automatically opens the whiteboard app.
