So far this pen has been great. I do tons of school work on my surface and so far the pen has not displayed any issues. The tip still works flawlessly. My only gripe is that I wish the different tips were included with the pen when you bought it. And for that I will remove one star. But outside of that it has worked great and I am sure it will last for a long time as I am a bit careful with my gear.

But, if you want to use the extra features of your microsoft surface (example: screen shots and then being able to "draw" or write on them) then it is great. The only downside is that unless you are using a tablet (that can be laid flat), at least my handwriting, seems to be significantly messier (since you are writing on a screen that is more vertical than horizontal).
