I use my Surface Pen mostly for note-taking as a clinical social worker when I'm in the field with clients. This would have been a great addition when I was a grad student.

This frees you up from having to focus on manually adjusting line thickness/opacity (although those options are still available) and lets you focus on your art.

My young daughter loves it though she prefers pen to actual paper still.

Worth paying the extra dollars for this pen. Not sure if finding the AAAA batteries will be an issue but will worry about that when we cross that bridge.

I do not always prefer to use it, but it works as it should when i do. Some of the interfaces on the Surface are a little strange with the pen, but for the most part i have found no issue.
