The Microsoft Surface picked it up as soon as it touched the laptop!!! So seamless. Very impressive. She loves it & uses it for different applications for work.

Bluetooth functionality is a nice extra, but not always necessary. Oddly enough, I'm unable to use this pen with any other tablet or smartphone. I had hoped to be able to use a single stylus across all my devices, so reducing a single star. Using other styluses has been ruined for me on this device, and no complaints there!

I guess I should back track to explain how I predominantly use the Surface Pro - note taking and sketching. If you purchase the Surface Pro and plan to use it for note taking - this is a must.

I purchased it while it was on sale to use with the Hand me down surface 4 I received. I works great. I can even use it on the HP Envy that I have a added bonus and does not need to be sync to the HP.

I thought I might miss the apple pen, but the surface pen works just as well if not better. Some say the sensitivity on the apple pen is better, but I think the surface pen adds more elements to the mix. Specifically, being able to flip the pen around and use as an eraser is great. Second, having the buttons on the pen for easy and quick shortcuts makes the functionality even better for a productive workflow.
