I love using it for everyday tasks such as scrolling, clicking, and highlighting, but i mainly use it for note taking. I use it with OneNote and it works great for jotting down quick notes or even in depth class or presentation notes. Very slight delay, almost like writing on paper.

The pen saves me time and and I find new ways to use it almost every time I turn on my computer. It is much more easier than a mouse. I keep it next to my computer in its box so I don't stand a chance of misplacing it. I chose the lesser of the two offered. I'm sure I made the correct choice,

My Surface was purchased with a Keyboard and no pen. After a few months of owning my surface the pen became a must have accessory. It makes note taking amazingly easy and quick with a small click of the pen. If you have been thinking about it, trust me, its worth it. You and your surface will never be the same without each other. A must have to use your Surface to its fulll potential.

I would of gave it 3 stars as I run into a lot of quirks but I also only have lower end surface. Likely computers fualt. Writes accurate but I wish it autopopulated more. I seem to have to press keyboard more often then not. Scrolling is also to be desired. However, fine accurate details its spot on. Lastly for stylus that does not have ton of features its pricy.

I saved myself ~$1,900 just cause I took the chance on buying the new pen.

Surface Pen is worth it

I like how I can just click the button on the side and it brings up the notepad and I can just go from there. Super responsive and easy to use. Took about 10 seconds to set up to the computer and I have been enjoying it ever since. Also Poppy Red is a good color to get

I bought this in-store with a Surface book 3. It would have been nice if it had come with it but you have to buy it separately. I would definitely recommend if you want to do any drawing with your surface book though!

I use my pen to take notes quickly, I can draw when I need too and it helps with my apps that require something more than the touchpad (think Vinyl cutting, drawing, designing). This was a great addition to my Surface Pro.

However, I have now come to rely on it quite a bit. With the screen in high resolution mode it's almost necessary for highlighting and data entry, especially if you have "fat" fingers! Don't leave home without it!!! It is expensive for what it does, however.
