Excellent addition to the Surface Pro 3. Creates a workstation out of a tablet.

I love being able to set my SP3 into the docking station and have another monitor pop up with my desktop display. It is nice to have the SP3 charge and have more USB ports as well.

Great docking base, only thing that I would change is a few more ports

Knocked down a star because I feel like it should have more usb ports.

I think its worth buying however I feel like it should come with more! especially for the price you have to pay for. Like a CD drive, and maybe some speakers would be nice. Other than that it helps when I have multiple drives plugged into my laptop or if I need to hook up an Ethernet cable.

I used it while I was on vacation which worked out great. I was able to hook up 2 portable drives and a wireless mouse along with hardwire to the internet via ethernet.

Only down side is it does not work with U Series Dell Monitors

When I purchased this docking station, there were limited options. This is the OEM MS solution so it's good of course. Today, there are better USB/Thunderbolt units available.

Works as advertised. I use it for gigabit networking when I really need the speed for downloading. Good fit with the surface connector, even with the keyboard connected. The only issue I had was with the surface not turning on after leaving it to sleep in the station. Had to hold the power and volume up buttons for 5 seconds before the surface came back to life. This issue may have been fixed by surface firmware updates.

this doc runs two external monitors of course with the help of an adapter but it does the job.

This docking station has 3 usb3 ports, 2 usb2 ports, 1 Ethernet port, 1 mini video port and audio port. After you connect the devices, this looks like a powerful desktop PC.

The docking station is perfect to use at work with a larger monitor.

This docking station is very valuable to have. Makes it easy to set up my work station for dual monitors.

I've been using computers in one form or another since 1968. By far, the Surface Pro 3 is the best device I've ever used. Now with the complimentary docking station, I've turned this svelte hybrid tablet/laptop into a desktop system to use my 23" LCD flat panel monitor and standard-sized keyboard. A bit pricey, but all in all an excellent addition.

I really wanted a docking station to connect two monitors and a number of other gadgets. This docking station is not well engineered. It docks on the side verses the bottom. It looses the connection on a regular bases and messes up what you are working on. For example the monitors go black when it looses the connection. You have to get out of IE and get in again and go back to where you were. Not the best. Also the ports are hard to get to. I've had better docking stations. I wouldn't recommend paying the money unless you absolutely need a monitor or multiple ports.
