The docking station is great, easy to use, and offers tons of more features fro your pro.

I purchased the docking station to keep my Ethernet connection, the USB wireless mouse and other USB ports available without removing one when the other is needed. In the docking mode (Even undocked sometimes), I lose all sounds including all computer alert and warning sounds, the HDMI connection becomes erratic, The computer sometimes shuts the page you are on down. I have been back to Best Buy once for a computer that is barely a month old.

Set up a second touch screen monitor, wireless Bluetooth full keyboard with mouse using this device...pop in the Surface when I get to work, have fully functioning desktop while at the office, at the end of the day pop the Surface out of the docking station and have the same capabilities on the go! Love the magnetic strip feature on the left side to hold the Surface pen - very clever to think of this need!

The surface pro I purchased only contained two ports. The docking station not only charges the computer but allows for additional ports.

I've truly enjoyed my Surface Pro 3 since I purchased it and it's been a great asset to me when going out to meet with clients. The docking station has allowed me to utilize this device for the power that it offers. I often work from home and being able to place the Surface into the docking station and have everything immediately connect has made everything significantly more efficient and enjoyable.

A bit pricy, but a must-have for use at home with a real Keyboard and Monitor, network, etc. Be sure to get the latest version of it…

Little expensive but useful to enhance the utility of your surface pro to use it like a laptop. The only drawback is the fixed angle.

This works great except I can't seem to control the power off sequence to my external usb hard drives when I power off my Surface Pro.

The docking station was easy to install and worked great. No issues in the install.

First of all, the instructions (or lack thereof) were not intuitive enough to show that the sides pull out in order to dock the SP3. I personally like more than a picture with arrows so one more sentence like "Pull sides outward, insert SP3 and push sides back inward to engage." The number of ports and their placement is good and it sits at a good angle. One BIG complaint is the keyboard will not slide under the dock to engage without lifting the dock. It's about 1 mm too close. If you dock with the keyboard attached it works great, but attaching it after the fact is less well designed. It still allows for both flat and angled positions of the keyboard which is good. Mostly I like that it is such a small footprint on the desk yet very stable and all the connections are in the back.

Very easy to set up and use. Would like to see better built in video options for the price.

Really impressed with the processing power of the system. It is living up to everything the sales associate said it would. I have not begun to tap the potential the machine has to offer but plan to in the coming months. Docking station is great and provides me with desktop functionality to larger screens.

got another one to have at another location; makes it truly plug, play and go

I had my Pro 3 for a few weeks before I saw how necessary this was. To use my Pro 3 at my work station I was always plugging in a usb hub for my house and keyboard, the mini display port adapter for my screen, power, and a headphone for for my Sonos speaker. With this stand i simply drop in the Pro 3 and squeeze in the side. No wear and tear for my ports, and productivity made easy.

I'm still figuring out all of the features of the docking station, but so far, it's been helpful to have the extra USB ports.

Gives me the option to have more USB ports, necessary in my line of work.

The added convenience of instant connection to the charger, printer as well as other peripheral appliances makes the Surface Pro 3 experience even more enjoyable and practical. The only change I would like to see would be the addition of a standard monitor port rather than the mini port that is currently present. This would make it easier to use monitors that are already in my possession. Overall, the docking station is a good value and very functional. Worth every penny that I spent on it.

This surface docking station is perfect. The Surfaxe Pro comes in and out of it seamlessly. There is no hesitation as the computer is moved in and out of the dock. The docking station has a variety of ports for very nice connectivity. It is simple and easy to use and I do not have any worries about the users I support on our network being able to use this dock.
