If you Have the Surface Pro 3 You Need This
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must have for the surface pro 3 to make it a laptop substitute. The keys are nice and don't feel too crammed though I will admit I have small hands. It also doubles as a protective cover for the screen. The magnetic design Is awesome and elevates the keyboard to a more ergonomic height for typing a lot.

Slim and lightweight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like in the title says. The keyboard is slim and lightweight and backlighting is a nice plus. The keys have a nice tactile feel to them. The only problem that i have is that when typing i feel that there is a little bit too much flex for my liking. I would prefer it to be a little more sturdy but i can understand that it would have to increase the weight of the product.

Light weight and responsive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been surprised at how responsive the keys are on such a light weight keyboard. They have just the right amount resistance and sound. I do have some difficulty with there not being a separate left and right mouse button. The clicks in the bottom quadrants of the touch pad works similar to separate mouse button, but it is not always that easy finding the correct spot.

Must have!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is a must have for the surface. Attaches and detaches with ease. Works amazing, and feels like a regular keyboard. Several colors to choose from. And doubles as a screen protector.

Great cover but mediocre keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this cover with my Surface. I bought it thinking I would need a keyboard and a cover to protect the screen. As a screen protector it works great but as a keyboard, not so much. The keyboard is adequate as a travel mate but for any serious typing you will want to pair up a better board. I wish they would make a magnetic cover only at less than half the price.

Much Better Keyboard Than One For Surface Pro 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find this keyboard to be much better than the one for Surface Pro 2. It comes with the backlit keyboard as a standard feature this time which is nice, and I like the way the keys and mousepad feel. I am hoping it holds up longer than the other keyboard too. It is a little expensive, but worth it.

Great keyboard, but pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great keyboard outside of the price!! I definitely would have loved for it to be cheaper, but since I was in the store and was buying my Surface Pro days before I left for a trip I went a head and bought it. I like that it is backlit which I am not sure that other options are. It serves its purpose as a keyboard and protective cover so what more can I ask for?! :)

Great, but very pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice type cover. It's the only one that Best Buy sold, according to the salesman. I like the material it is made out of. Unfortunately, the buttons of the keyboard get worn away very easily and the price of it seems quite outrageous. If it weren't for those two things, it would be 5 star.

FDSK JKL;
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard is not required, but I say it's a must. Works well, responsive and is backlit. Just like using a laptop. I use the track pad most the time, but do plan on getting the mouse. I use a video editor on my surface and the track pad, like all track pads, has a limited space to work with.

Better than I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I read about the keyboard, I had some concerns that it would not be stiff enough as well as the keys having a mushy feel. It turns out that neither of them are true as the keyboard is nice and firm and the keys have a great feel to them...even better than the keys on the laptop I was replacing

Best Surface Type Cover Yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had all 3 type cover keyboards for the Surface Pro. This one works far better as it finally incorporates a solid touch pad. Scrolling is easier and having clickable mouse keys makes a big difference as well. Keyboard does work with older Surface models not just the Pro 3, but the increased size makes it overlap the older tablets by a few inches on sides and bottom.

Would not do with out it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I realize that the Surface is both tablet and laptop, I would not do without the keyboard. It is a key part of the functionality and does not add significant bulk or size to the Surface. While it is a bit small compared to my full size desk keyboard, I can still type quite comfortably.

My first entry into a tablet or major laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going on the Motorcycle Cannonball Race in September, Daytona to Tacoma. Also going from major desktops to a tablet/laptop that I can take along. For a 69 y/o lawyer that first built a homemade computer in 1974 but has only hobby experience in IT, I'm excited. I wanted an I7, but couldn't wait until 8/31 for its availability. I'm not a 'Gamer' so the I5 is way enough power. Back to the first question: Is this primarily used for business? Yea when I return from the race. As for the learning curve of Win8, it's like having a new girl friend. It's always exciting. I purchased a Verizon hotspot that with the Surface Pro 3 costs only $1 and reduces the Surface Pro3's cost by $100. It allows connection of multiple devices to wifi from cell connection, like in your car. While dealing with my Verizon contract my BestBuy rep tells me I can upgrade from 2gig family data plan to 6gig family data plan and reduce my monthly bill by $10. What! Took that too. Check out http://www.motorcyclecannonball.com/ and my twitter site, @headracer

Great keyboard, a must-have for any Surface owner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is the key component that makes the Surface Pro 3 a notebook when you need it. It is hard to type on a 10+ inch tablet so having a keyboard is wonderful. Using this keyboard, the Surface Pro 3 is functioning just like a traditional notebook except that it is super thin and detachable. I wish the mouse trackpad works better, but it is good enough.

A must have accessory
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You absolutely have to buy the keyboard if you purchase the surface pro 3. They really should sell both items as a bundle because I don't know anyone who would buy the keyboard without the lap/tab. It's just not a stand alone product.

Very good, but really shouldn't be so expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft got it perfect with this proprietary keyboard. To go over my positives: -Clothe like hand rests: I didn't know how else to describe it, but where your wrists rest are cover in some sort of clothe (the whole product is except for the keys). This helps keep your wrists from sliding and feeling too sweaty. I haven't had the keyboard long so I am sure it also helps from those weird spots that tend to pop up on other laptops -Button feedback: The clicks of the keys are perfect IMO. -Key Set Up: They've got a lot of features on such a small keyboard. I use the hotkeys very often and picked up on their locations pretty easily. NEGATIVES: -Price: This keyboard case is very good and used specifically for the SP3, but I still can't understand how it warrants an extra $130 on top of the $1000 for the SP3
