If you have a surface pro 3, you really need this type cover, simple as that. Otherwise, why bother st all. Microsoft really should include it with the surface. Really a "hidden cost". Works well, however.

This is mandatory if you want to use your surface pro like a laptop. It's also a reasonable screen protector. The keyboard and the trackpad work really well.

Magnetically connects to the surface pro 3. Easy to use and super easy to type on. It also makes for a great cover.

The little tab they give you for the pen holder isn't as secure as I would like it to be. It's not built in and it's just a sticker that can stick off any time.

this is a great addition to a great tablet. the keyboard allow you to function the surface pro 3 smoothly as if it was a laptop. I love the magnetic design.

If i were to review this on plain existence, then i would give it a 2 or 3, because i feel with the cost of the surface (any model or size) these keyboards should be packaged with them. After a $1500 price tag throw on another $125 or so for this, its getting out of hand. However, since i am reviewing how it funtions, its amazing. A must have for the Surface Pro 3 or any others. Its so fluid, makes it easy to type and so quick and effeciant when removing and reconnecting to the surface. I've said it before, but this is a must have if you have a surface or plan on getting one.

This is my 3rd one, first one separated from the connector in the back and could not be fixed. 2nd one the "U" key stopped working and I tried to fix it, don't do that, if the keys pop off you may as well get a new one, the keyboard will never work the same. Pretty pricey for something that can break so easily. I use mine in a dock and there really isn't enough support for the keyboard this way. If I was using the kb on a flat surface and not in the the dock (there is 1/2 an inch between function keys and desk while in dock) I'm sure I would still have the first keyboard. I tend to press heavily on the keys so I may need kb #4 soon... Or to start using an external wireless keyboard instead when it's in the dock.

thought I was going to be pretty much stuck with this keyboard, but it is actually pretty good, not sure I could have gotten a better one that is as portable

I purchased this to go with the Surface Pro3. It works great as a keyboard and helps to protect the screen. I have not had any problems with the keyboard.

If you own a surface, this is a must get! feels like a real keyboard, mouse works flawless. if you have a surface, you have to add this. you wont regret it!

This is a great keyboard I couldn't see myself using the SP3 without it. Just to bad you have to pay extra for it. But at the same time it is worth the cost.

Best keyboard yet. Its very comfortable to type on. The mouse pad is super responsive and works perfectly. when you double tap to drag you can hold your finger on the edge and it keeps it going. very nice feature the only thing i dont like is that the pen holder comes separate and you have to apply it to the keyboard with an adhesive tape. it came off easily so i didnt trust it to hold my pen.

I really like Microsoft's design of the type keyboard. I also works very well as a screen protector. Very good.

Nice size keyboard for use with Surface Pro 3. Keys react nicely. Loop for stylus allows user to choose placement.

Keyboard is a must for me as the Surface is becoming my primary machine for work and leisure. Seems sturdy enough even for a big, heavy handed guy like me.

It works great with the surface 3. the magnets hold tightly. Only wish microsoft wouldnt charge so much.

The Surface Pro 3 has an excellent virtual keyboard, but I though I should buy the "regular" keyboard too. Looking back, I think I'd be OK without it, as I find myself using the virtual keyboard almost as much as the "regular" one. I feel the "touch" of the keyboard is very good, although not quite like a true desktop or laptop keyboard. I am a touch-typist but find that it is a little harder to get centered on the keyboard without looking as opposed to a true keyboard--can't explain why, but it is. Other than that, I like it and it does a good job. I like the way it easily comes off or goes back on depending on what I'm doing at the moment. It is not flimsy and appears well made, despite its thinness.

i TRIED NOT USING IT FOR A WHILE BUT I´M A KEYBOARD GUY! I CANNOT TYPE ON A HARD GLASS SURFACE AS IT DOESN'T ´FEEL RIGHT´ DON´T THINK TWICE.. BUY IT!!!

I always like having physical keys better. It's not much different otherwise but I for sure like having these keys over the "touch" type keys.
