Happy With My Purchase

I also am coming from using my laptop daily for work and personal use. I can say that this keyboard is comparable to my laptop keyboard except with a little less space. The Type Cover has a bit of an angle for a little more comfort and is easily removed by separating a couple of magnets. I do wish you didn't have to pay for the keyboard separately. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Excellent Design, But Should Come With The Surface

The magnetic lock is easy to use and feels sturdy. The typing experience is better than expected for something so thin. The keyboard does cover the taskbar when it is propped up at an angle...easy to work around. My biggest complaint is that the Surface doesn't come with a keyboard. It feels like it wants to be an ultrabook more than a tablet. Ultrabooks always come with a keyboard, even the detachable ones.
