Highly recommend. I like using the keyboard for lots of typing. It is backlit which is nice in darker areas. Easy to take off and attach. Love it

This should have been included. The Surface needs a cover and it needs a keyboard. So there you go. The keyboard is usable but it lacks a number pad. A positive is that the characters on the keyboard light up. Very easy to use at night.

If you are purchasing a Surface Pro 3 and you plan on using it as a desktop or laptop replacement, then you absolutely need this cover/keyboard. It "snaps" on the Surface, protecting the screen while also providing a great keyboard.

This is a great addition to the surface pro 3. Love the magnetic snap when connecting as well as the multiple positions. Would have been nice if it came with the pro as now it seem essential to have. All and all, worth the purchase.

I work in IT and having the surface pro has allowed me to have a tablet with full functionality of a PC. If you don't want to lose 75% of your screen to the keyboard than you must purchase this. It works flawlessly never had an issue.

Thought it looked flimsy when I first saw it, but after having used it daily for a month, I now know it is not. Stays firmly attached to the tablet portion, unlatches easily and reattaches smoothly. A must have for the Surface tablet.

The keyboard works very nicely with the Surface Pro 3. I have only had one instance where the mouse stopped working (on screen). I removed the keyboard and reattached it and no issues. At this point (~35 days in), I have no issues.

Keyboard. This keyboard gets the job done but I prefer to type on something with a higher action. It is loud and flexes a lot. The mouse pad/trackpad is difficult to use . It is nice to have a keyboard though that is so portable .

Needed to do a "Print Screen" and it took me a bit to find the info on Google. Also the system fast key combos, like the winkey+tab did not work for scrolling thru the screens like in win win 7. Having all the shortcuts in the pamphlet that came with the keyboard would have been great.

This keyboard is OK. It is a long shot from the best keyboard I've used, but it is the most convenient one to use with the Surface. It does what it needs to do when you're on the go, but I use a real keyboard full-size (wireless) when I want to actually type for an extended period of time.

its easy to use and lights up easy to see. letters are big enough to read.. perfect in every way. glad I purchase comes apart easy to store.

Do yourself a favor and get this keyboard for your surface. It at least doubles the productivity. I still use another mouse instead of the touchpad for precision sake. This will truly make your surface a computer replacement.

It works well and provides some screen protection but for the price of the Surface I would have liked to have it come with a keyboard (macbook air) like others. I recommend it because it is necessary to use the Surface properly.

This is absolutely nessisary for your surface pro 3. It functions flawlessly and I could not be without it. Typing on it is a little cramped, but I was coming from an Asus transformer keyboard, so it is down right roomy to me!

i got the type cover because it was the only keyboard on the market at the time. its a great keyboard you just need to adapt because of how small it is, however the new pro 4 keyboard looks great and id rather get that one.

When I first bought my surface the only color available was black so I finally when back into best buy and bought my favorite color - PURPLE !! Very happy with my choice - it now matches my sleeve that I also purchased at best buy

I love the color and I love typing on it. It's a little different than your average keyboard so it's takes a little bit of getting used to

This is a must have for surface if you intend getting work done. The touch keyboard -in my opinion- is a joke. Did not add any significant thickness or weight over the touch cover. Very speedy and accurate typing. Highly recommended.

I like using the keyboard because it makes taking notes on my Surface Pro 3 easier. It took a little to get used to the smaller sized keyboard compared to a desk top keyboard, but it is handy and has all the buttons I need.

great key board but wished the back cover is make of some other material, it gets dirty easily. The pen holder seem to be an afterthought.
