The keyboard is so thin it doesn't add a lot bulk so you can easily store the surface like a tablet in your backpack. I got the purple one and the color is awesome. The pen holder sticker keeps faking off though I wish the grip was better on that glue..

Works like you would hope for the price. You just have to factor it is as part of the overall price of the tablet/laptop. Like the loop for the pen. It's an expensive pen so you don't want to loose it.

I bought it because it only made sense as I am using this in my business. I am happy with my purchase and love that I can flip it around so I am not constantly touching keys when I am in tablet mode.

Provides great protection to the screen when closed. Rather disappointed in the pen loop. Microsoft could've splurged and made it a permenant part of the cover rather than a stick piece that gets lost

The incline makes it very comfortable to type. This keyboard lights up and you can adjust the brightness of the light. It is very easy to take it on and off my surface pro 3. I love this keyboard!

I had issues with my Surface tablet recognizing and installing the Keybiard. The biggest issue was dealing with Microsoft support trying to resolve the issue. I spent well over an hour explaining that I had run through all of the online steps to resolve but the tablet would still not recognize the Surface Keyboard. I was not alone with this issue if you look on the Surface message boards. In the end The tablet had to be reimaged and all software reloaded to get keyboard to work. You can't directly download keyboard software from Mucrosoft. Now that the keyboard is working it provides me the flexibility to use the Surface as a tablet and as a laptop. I like the Surface but I don't live it.

This is a great product a little bit pricey and the track pad is very small. But it is great I love how small it is and portable and that it is backlight

I think this type cover works well. Of course it is not great as a regular keyboard, but it can still meet basic requirements. My suggestion is that the price can be a little bit lower,especially for people who buy both the Surface Pro and the type cover. I think the reason Microsoft wants to sell them separately is that some people may only want to use Surface Pro as a tablet, but Microsoft should consider giving discount for people who buy them together.

This is my second keyboard for my Surface. Downgraded one star because the first keyboard didn't last as long as I thought it should, but this one is going strong. I don't know why they don't come with the Surface; it's practically a necessity.

It has nice keys, and I normally use a mechanical gaming keyboard. However I do t use it much, I use it for protecting the screen and I often flip it around and rest the kickstand on it that way

Given the surface pro's price, I feel this should be included with it, but oh well. The cover will protect the surface pro nicely, and I like the magnetic 'snap-on' feature, which uses a strong magnet to snap the keyboard on to the tablet. It's very handy being able to easily remove the keyboard when you just want use the sp as a tablet and not a laptop. My only qualms is that the keyboard cover is quite thin and if you do a lot of typing, you'll probably want to get a bluetooth keyboard because the thin keys aren't particularly suited for doing a ton of typing.

The MS Surface Pro 3 Keyboard is an must have addition to the MS Surface Pro 3. The detachable keyboard is has the normal spacing between the keys to act like a normal Computer keyboard. The MS Surface Pro 3 Keyboard has lighted key so using it under low light conditions works great. The build in mouse control works to control the cursor as using a mouse. The magnetic attachment makes it easy to remove when using the MS Surface Pro 3 as a touch screen tablet.

I didn't think I would use my Surface 3 as a tablet very much but once I got the keyboard I pretty much always use it as a laptop now. The keys are surprisingly spaced decently and comfortable.

Nice to hear the clicks when you press a key. Fits and protects very well. Stylish blue, my daughter loves it.

Don't use it as much as I thought I would. Typically I just use the touch screen when I am using my Surface Pro 3 as a laptop. However it works great when I need it and is the perfect cover!

I had heard bad things about the older version of the surface keyboard but no complaints here. The keys function like any other keyboard and they are back lit so it can be used in the dark
