This keyboard has no fingerprint reader. If this keyboard is anything like the keyboard with the fingerprint reader, I would totally recommend it.

I had an after-market one prior to buying and I will say its night and day. Not having to use BT to connect is a huge plus and being able to put the surface pro to sleep by just closing the kleyboard is a huge win!!
