The keyboard is very smooth and easy on the hands. I've had mine since Sept 22 I've had no issues. One thing I will mention is that the part where your palms rest is made of alcantara material, this material is not easy to clean. If you have oily hands you will see the stains over time, not horrible but its a good idea to keep your hands clean if you want to minimize. Great product, I would definitely buy again.

Responsive and barley affects the battery - The light up LED's are great too! I love the keyboard and glad I got it for a great deal at bestbuy compared to amazon!

Absolutely love this product for the Surface Pro 8. I had bought a knockoff keyboard for Pro 8 but just wanted an authentic MS keyboard.

I have enjoyed several of the Surface tablets over the years, and always use a type cover with them. I was delighted to find this Platinum one on sale when I bought my Surface Pro X. The Alcantara feels great to the touch, and is silent in use. This newest model also has a well for the pen, for those who use it.

I almost skipped out on the keyboard, thought was I could live without it. It would have been a grave mistake! Best of both worlds once you (easily) attach it, laptop and tablet. The surface is an amazing piece of tech but to be precise and concise the keyboard is must have. The graphite color and texture are modern, lightweight and durable, but will be hard to clean serious stainage, so you might want to distance your food m. Great tech!

I already had this keyboard for my surface pro; however, I needed to get another surface pro for work (I didn’t want to have to take it home every day). Plus I got a good deal on it from Amazon. I needed to get another keyboard. But the keyboard on Amazon was more expensive. So I looked up the price at Best Buy (few dollars less, but when you are already buying expensive items, every dollar makes a difference) This keyboard is great! Very easy to type and it connects to the surface pro so when you close the surface pro, the keyboard is attached so it closes at the same time.

Finish is nice and soft/smooth. Keys feel solid but quiet and typing speed is good. removes and installs easily. no method to lock keyboard to tablet, so it can disconnect when using on an unstable surface such as a lap or tiny tray table when traveling.

Best Buy offered me a great deal on this keyboard with my surface pro and I use it daily for school and work. The feeling of the keyboard, the durability, and ease of use is amazing!

If you are on the go with your surface this is a must. I bought mine as an open box and I get why they are returned because they aren't cheap. I've used off brand ones but they don't work as well as the Microsoft brand. I've had two surface pros and ended up buying the Microsoft keyboard after both off brand boards were finicky. Both Microsoft boards I bought as a open box item and I've had no issues with them. This particular one feels better than the older boar and the recess for the pen is a nice touch. It also protects your screen when it's folded up and the magnets keep it from flopping around. highly recommended.

For a smaller sized key board we really like the ease of use, and the feel. The keys are not likely to get much dust or other particles caught under neath.

Touch screen on the Surface Pro 9 is good, but I prefer a keyboard. This is quiet and responsive, and doubles as a screen cover. My only disappointment is that it was not included with the Surface Pro, requiring me to purchase it as an accessory.

Nice and solid clicks. The Alacantara is amazing on this keyboard. Portable and gives screen protection to the Surface as well when closed magnetically.
