I have enjoyed several of the Surface tablets over the years, and always use a type cover with them. I was delighted to find this Platinum one on sale when I bought my Surface Pro X. The Alcantara feels great to the touch, and is silent in use. This newest model also has a well for the pen, for those who use it.

Love how lightweight this keyboard is. It snaps onto the surface so easily. And love how the pen holder tucks underneath the keyboard when using it. Color: ice blue

I love this keyboard! It's very responsive and definitely rigid enough to use while in your lap. The size is also pretty awesome. I'm 6'4" with pretty big hands, and the spacing is pretty comfortable.

Works great but am having to get used to the track pad. Much easier to use a mouse.

Works perfectly and clicked right into the surface. It thought it would be flimsy, but it's not at all. The keys are nice and soft. I wish there were more color choices. (I really don't know how many there are, when I was at Best Buy I could choose from this one or red)

Stopped working 1 week after the return period ended. Luckily I have total protection. But the keyboard was very spotty and not reliable. Too expensive for this.

Recommendation would depend on what you wanted to use it for. It works fine. Strong magnetic connection to the pro and the pen to the keyboard. Nice to flip close and have it as a cover for the Pro. Sometimes I have to detach and re-attach for the keyboard to work. It's flimsy when I'm walking around using it for inspections.

I almost skipped out on the keyboard, thought was I could live without it. It would have been a grave mistake! Best of both worlds once you (easily) attach it, laptop and tablet. The surface is an amazing piece of tech but to be precise and concise the keyboard is must have. The graphite color and texture are modern, lightweight and durable, but will be hard to clean serious stainage, so you might want to distance your food m. Great tech!

Excellent machine, no issues The Microsoft Surface Pro is a sleek and versatile 2-in-1 device that balances portability and performance. The detachable Type Cover offers a laptop-like typing experience, though it’s sold separately, adding to the overall cost. I already had this keyboard for my surface pro; however, I needed to get another surface pro for work (I didn’t want to have to take it home every day). Plus I got a good deal on it from Amazon. I needed to get another keyboard. But the keyboard on Amazon was more expensive. So I looked up the price at Best Buy (few dollars less, but when you are already buying expensive items, every dollar makes a difference) This keyboard is great! Very easy to type and it connects to the surface pro so when you close the surface pro, the keyboard is attached so it closes at the same time.

I like the lightweight but solid feel of this keyboard. It is not too big or too small and the reactions are neither too light or too heavy. I appreciate the magnetic attachment that finds its way on its own. Its ability to act as a cover as well simplifies what I need and keeps it light and portability with protection.

I got an open box 'satisfactory', it came next day and it looks and feels brand new. Turns the tablet into a nice small laptop. The open box price was not bad, a new one is more than double. It connects easy and stays on. It looks and works like a laptop. The keyboard and track pad are surprisingly good for such a slim device.
