This was advertised as a set and the keyboard is not made for the computer and now Best Buy is telling me is to late to return.

Buy the warranty is cheap and with it. They replaced it with a new one.

I got the platinum worried it would show dirt, etc. I was right. The light color does not do a good job at hiding dirt and it is not easy to clean.

Durability needs improvement

I love the surface Pro4 but it's useless as a computer without the keyboard. Unfortunately with the keyboard it's useless as a tablet. Enter the easily removable cover keyboard. The problem is when you remove the keyboard there is no way to protect the keys and they easily break off when sliding it into or out of a seat pocket or computer bag. I lost two keys on my previous keyboard before it stopped working completely and had to buy a replacement. I've already lost one key off the replacement keyboard on my 2nd trip with it. It just doesn't hold up to travel.

The key strokes are good and of good depth. However, even before a year, due to medium usage, the grey material- where your hand rests, starts fading away.

There were issues where it would stop working especially the pad. Many times it would not be detected without multiple attempts to put it on. When I tried going to Best Buy to get an exchange with the warranty they said they won’t do anything and I have to send it to the manufacturer to get any help. It was unusable. By then it was too late. So I wasted money on an expensive product that was not worth it. Not functional.

Disappointed, as doesn't have backlit keyboard!

Other than that works fine!

Thanks for reaching out. Your Surface Pro Signature Type Cover comes standard with LED backlighting. If you're not able to see the keys, its possible your backlight is not set to the proper intensity for the environment you're in. You can adjust the backlight of your keys by selecting the "Fn" key and then using F1 and F2 to lower and increase the intensity of the backlight on your type cover.
