Its a proper laptop keyboard and extremely light and thin. Perfect for travel and accompanies the Surface Pro like a charm. Cannot live without it. Highly recommend purchasing this at the time you purchase your Surface Pro or Laptop.

At the time of my last purchase, there was a "Signature Type Cover" and a regular "Type Cover". The Signature model used upgraded Alcantara material. The package that just arrived was only labeled "Type Cover". It appears that the material matches that of my previous Signature version, so I believe MS just dropped the "Signature" name for this model of Type Cover. It feels and operates just like my previous Signature Type Cover.
