It does disconnect very easy ( while traveling it has actually fallen off a couple of times. It would be nice to have some sort of locking mechanism so it doesn't disconnect.

Bought this one and this one has been going strong for 3 years or so with the same heavy abuse. My 3 kids and myself all use this. It has been wonderful.

Finally settled on cobalt but maybe I will get maroon in the future. It doubles as a screen protector when not using the surface pro.

They'll usually last about a year for my users before keys start to pop off. Still, kind of a must-need item for the Surface Pro

In comparing the two I feel that the key spacing is more comfortable on this iteration of the type cover. All function keys work as expected and helped to add some years to my Surface Pro
