I have never been a fantastic typer even thou I've use typing programs to improve. This keyboard enables me to type better. Not sure if it is the distance of each key or etc. It is smooth and great that it is back-lit. It snaps on extremely well. Not sure how it will hold up after a year of use. Not sure how dirty it will get. I am very clean so we'll see.

I bought the original power keyboard for the original surface. I’d say the only thing missing is the extended battery. Otherwise this is working normal as intended. Keys have a backlight. Feel is better than the touch keyboard. I like the feel on keys being pushed in.

As a cover I like the feel in hand. not slippery nor overly tacky. The magnets align the cover and also holds the angle of the keyboard when in use. It fits nice with the UAG cover. Makes for, depending on perspective, a beefy tablet or a slick laptop. You decide, which ever you prefer, it works well..

Nice quality keyboard, but kinda pricey.

Does not feel cheap. Firmly attaches and detaches from surface pro. The “fabric” has a good feel, and so far has remained clean and is unstained. However, I am an older adult and I use a wrap-around case I bought online.

Alcantara material more durable

Better feel/more durable -- worth a few $ extra. Seems they dont make a black Alcantara -- so you will need to choose a color -- platinum is a medium grey which is fine for us
