This is definitely a nice keyboard and a must have accessory for the surface pro. It's sort of pricey when you compare it to mechanical keyboards for desktops, but you're always gonna pay a premium when you get first party accessories for a product. It's got a nice feel, it's small and light, and it does everything it should.

So far so good. Feels nice to type on, very light weight and feels like pretty strong connection to the Surface. Curious how it'll hold up over time. The material on the back could probably get nasty pretty easily - nice grip on table but would probably prefer a solid material that could be easily wiped down.

Easy to snap on, super light weight, and soft and comfortable when typing! Although I wish I knew how I could clean it if it ever got dirty (which I’m worried to), other than that it’s nice :)

This keyboard clips on to my Surface Pro so easily and effortlessly. I don't have to press down hard like other keyboards. It almost feels ergonomic. It's nice and thin and I can transport it anywhere.

This Type Cover works wonders for anyone with weight bearing Issues. I got tired of lugging my old laptop to the weekly library visits for a quite work place. Now that I have this lightweight Type Cover that clicks in place to transform into a laptop I have lost weight (pun intended) As an artist or designer you can draw, design or color in a most comfortable position for a quality amount of time. The updated magnetic pen that attaches to the side of the Surface Pro 7 allows you to keep up with the artistical design drawing device. Easy set up with videos to assist those that are less tech savvy will have you up and running in no time.

This keyboard is great. It doubles as a cover for the Surface Pro and protects the computer. I feel it is a bit pricy, but if you're looking for something like this that's made to work, this is it. It's magnetic and connects VERY easily, no issues with it working, at all.

Pros: Key action is nice, also very responsive Track pad is also responsive and behaves as you would want it to Felt like coating so it's not a rough plastic shell against your screen Cons: The price. Seriously this is overpriced I've tried a few of the off brand keyboards but either the keys or the pad were a compromise. This one feels nice almost like glass. It also hibernates the surface when closed and doesn't require Bluetooth and internal batteries to operate. Haven't noticed the battery life of the surface affected when the keyboard is connected either. Again the biggest con to this is the $130+ dollar price tag.

I was sceptical on this key board but after attaching this to the surface pro it was game on . Definitely worth the add on . Now do I agree with Microsoft selling this separately yes and no . NO because now I've had to pay tax on a separate accessory and the key boards that are colored cost about 30 dollors more then just the black ... And YES because it's business if they would of added it with the surface they would of just tacked on the money and it wouldn't really matter if you bought it separately or together .

works almost as good as if you were at your desk with a normal keyboard. sometimes i think the mouse pad catches a movement and changes were my cursor is. would love a wireless keyboard. overall: light. durable. easy to clean. snaps into place easily.

Excellent keyboard/cover. Very easy to use and protects the laptop at the same time when you close it. Would recommend.

Good for portable use and some desktop. I use a real keyboard for serious work, though, through a dock with a standalone monitor and mouse. Light enough to not worry about taking along, but sturdy enough to be a screen protector. Works well on the move with cases that let you also use the kickstand as they usually also have a cover that extends from the unfolded kickstand and under the keyboard, giving a lot more anti-wobble rigidity that's not there with just the keyboard. Not to say the keyboard doesn't give reasonable anti-wobble support, just that the right case makes everything a lot better. However, don't be surprised/dismayed if you see one of the plushie, special color covers on sale below the price of this one. I picked up a more expensive cover for below this cover's price one day when a Surface Pro 3 keyboard broke and I needed to replace it.

I use a Surface Pro 4 and this keyboard is a must. I tried a different keyboard first, which connected via Bluetooth and this Microsoft keyboard definitely was an upgrade. It connects flawlessly and it doesn’t have any sort of lag as my other Bluetooth keyboard had. The mouse pad is also amazing, very responsive to touch and gestures. It is lightweight. It clicks and unclicks to your device very nicely when you have to change from laptop to tablet mode. I would say that it is not very comfortable for extensive hours of typing. But, if you take breaks, you will be ok.

Light weight, easy to attach and remove. Fine for typing. When closed, does add to device protection.

It works as expected and sort of a must have for the Surface. I like how the keys feel and work, easy to attach and detach with couple of position settings. I would like price to be under $100 for this but otherwise a great type cover.

Pretty good keyboard for being so thin and lightweight, a little pricey but what do you expect.

The type cover is percect for the device. Thet layout is comfortable laid out for ease in use and fast typing. Outside cover is not slck and provides some tracti9n when picking up and carrying the Pro. Maxe by and for the device - best option for purchase. Especially like feel of keys when typing - important as an admn assistant and tke notes in meeting!

This keyboard hits way above its weight. Its very thin & light, but its pretty sturdy, high quality & like a premium device should feel. I got the gray alcantara version & I gotta say I like the material reminds me of my shelbys streeing wheel, but as with all alcantara steerinng wheels I dont know how its going to last; my bad this aint a car review. Anyways the material feels nice but I worry how its going to age. But let discuss the elephant in the room, how does it feel? Does it actually have depth & tactility to its movement? Like what expect from our ultra keyboards? It actually does :) where did they even get the space are they using some sort of space expansion tech? They've put people on the moon; who knows right? Anyways I really like this keyboard & the surface pro 7+ i5 its paired with. Enjoy your keyboard!

For such a light keyboard, it is a pleasure to use. I was doubtful I would like it, especially since I have a nice split ergonomic keyboard I use at my desk. But this offers a great feel and I don't mind using it on the go at all. And since it is light and portable, it fits into my backpack along with my Surface easily when I travel. Yes I recommend it to anyone who needs to travel light.

My Surface Pro 3 is still going strong after almost 6 years of nearly daily use but the original type cover finally failed about 2 months ago. I decided to purchase this new type cover and it instantly connected and installed new drivers automatically in just a few seconds. This type cover is significantly better and higher quality than the original type cover that came with my Surface Pro 3. I highly recommend it.
