The keys are spread out enough so that typing, even though the keyboard is small, in manageable. It also protects the tablet. It is lightweight and has a nice feel. I looked at some other compatible keyboards, but believe this is the best choice.

It should come right in the package together with the Microsoft surface tablet (which they do now as I purchased another Surface). I really feel this item is $50 to $70 overpriced and Microsoft is using their name as a price built into the product when they are mostly successful at cloud computing and software. It doesn’t do anything particularly special. It’s a forced purchase accessory on my opinion of you want to use the surface tablet like a computer and physical keyboard.

Replacement looks the same as original, hopefully it will hold together better, looks and works good.
