My husband and I have both had that experience. That said, the one we purchased works fine and has a great touch.

The Surface keyboards have only a one-year warranty, and mine had lasted one year nine months. The best part of purchasing a new keyboard was dealing with Best Buy. As usual, excellent services, knowledgeable employees, and free delivery. All of this took place in a matter of three days
