The keys are a pleasure to type on. The touchpad, while small, is very responsive and just feels right. This is my second Surface and second type cover. The first unit is still in excellent condition after 4 years of use and now being used by a relative. I also have a 12.9 iPad with the Smart Keyboard Folio (NOT the magic keyboard). The Microsoft Type Cover is better than the Apple keyboard folio in every way.

Great value, just a little noisy when tying

Nice and comfortable to type on and a very responsive trackpad. Doesn’t need to be charged as it draws its power from my surface pro. My only issue is, it’s s a little noisy when typing.

Perfect addition to Surface Pro (2017)

I acts not only as a keyboard, but also as a protection cover when it is closed. It attaches magnetically to the Surface Pro . Keyboard response is excellent. Connects via Bluetooth. No problem in getting the tablet to recognize the keyboard. When detached from the Surface Pro, will switch to tablet mode (if desired)

I feel that it is easy enough to use, but may take a little adjustment from those coming from traditional keyboards. The touch pad is useful if you don't have a full-sized mouse connected. The touch pad also allows you to do many touch gestures like swiping, pinching and rotating. I only wish these were included with the Surface Pro systems, instead of an extra purchase.
