The touchpad on my first one stopped working after a week and i had to get a replacement. I also wish it wasn't fabric bc it's less hardy and can stain if you spill juice or something on it. I wouldn't trust this without the $10 insurance.

They should come free with the surface unit.!

I needed to replace the first one that fell apart after 4 years. The cover from the keyboard just came off. Hopefully this one will last longer. The color is very pretty, more like a maroon red.
