This keyboard is easy to securely attach and doesn't add noticeable weight nor make the Surface Pro more bulky. It lights up for dim light situations and the TouchPad is appropriately sensitive.

I love that this keyboard covers the screen because there really are no good protective cases. It works as a keyboard should.

Keyboard if easy to use - no significant differences switching between desktop, laptop, or surface.

This is compact, pairs nicely with the Pro 7. The keys are spread out enough so that typing, even though the keyboard is small, in manageable. It also protects the tablet. It is lightweight and has a nice feel. I looked at some other compatible keyboards, but believe this is the best choice.

It fits perfectly with my Surface Pro 7 and the keys feel really good.

Disappointing that this item is this expensive as a standalone. It should come right in the package together with the Microsoft surface tablet (which they do now as I purchased another Surface). I really feel this item is $50 to $70 overpriced and Microsoft is using their name as a price built into the product when they are mostly successful at cloud computing and software. It doesn’t do anything particularly special. It’s a forced purchase accessory on my opinion of you want to use the surface tablet like a computer and physical keyboard.

The keyboard is great but there is times that it isnt detected and doesnt work. This could be my computer but i doubt it. This happens rarely which is why i only remove one star but overall, great feel and build.

Works perfectly with the Surface Pro 7. It turns the tablet instantly into a laptop/desktop computer!

Overall, the detachable keyboard works great. I'm especially glad that the keys have backlighting. When attached, the keyboard locks in tight. If I have anything less than perfect to say, it would be that the keys are slightly spongy. But in all fairness, I've been using a MacBook Pro the past several years. The keys on the Mac are terrible. So, my comment about spongy keys may be unwarranted.

Surface Pro 4 original type cover came apart at the edge seams, it still worked but looked bad. Replacement looks the same as original, hopefully it will hold together better, looks and works good.

Have had the surface for four years and the keyboard lasted. This is my first replacement and I use it every day.

Couldn’t fully utilize my surface pro without this...it ended up saving me a ton of time trying to type of the screen. I love it

The only "con" I can think of is that this Type Cover isn't included with the Surface Pro, as it's almost essential. Microsoft has gradually improved the Type Covers over the last few years. Now, the keyboard has a "laptop" feel, and the trackpad is definitely better. Not quite MacBook Pro, but surprisingly close. The Alcantara fabric cover adds a nice touch. Its durability remains to be seen. I believe that this Type Cover is compatible with the SP 4 as well as the new SP. A worthwhile upgrade for SP 4 users.

Cover and keyboard complete Surface pro and work great. Your price was right also.
