The type cover works fine with the Surface Pro 4. This type cover is a big improvement on the others Microsoft has offered with their Surface tablets. I've used 2 others and this one is vastly improved in terms of touch and feel. I'm disappointed with the 2-button trackpad. It doesn't seem to do what I want it to do--but maybe I need to work with it some more to get the hang of it. I've only been using it for about a month and not on a daily basis.

Alright... I'm not going to complain about price here. The keyboard is very comfortable and doubles as a screen protector. It has backlighting and the trackpad is fantastic. I don't think you could ask for anything more. No other company can touch what Microsoft has done with their detachable keyboard.

My surface pro 3 keyboard stopped working, as I saw a sale on Best Buy, I took the advantage to get it. It is like night and day difference between the pro 3 keyboard vs pro 4. I don't know if there is enough difference between the pro 4 vs the pro Overall.. It was a great deal.

Much improved over the SP3 variant. Extremely comfortable to type on and use everyday. I am a Network Engineer & Grad Student, I use my SP4 daily for everything. Typing 10+ page documents for class is a breeze and a joy on this keyboard! This is what a 1st party accessory SHOULD be, Simply AMAZING!

Greatly improved over the Surface Pro 3's keyboard in every way. Larger and smoother touchpad make it easy to navigate, and the keys are perfect for fast typing. The ability to flip it backwards behind the Surface is a fantastic addition, which makes the computer even more portable than it already is.

It's a fantastic device, and it never leaves the side of my Surface Pro 4. I wish it came as part of the computer, included in the box, but I guess this way you can choose which one you want. I've never used my pro 4 without the keyboard if I'm at a desk, and it helps with everything. Comfortable everywhere except on my lap, but the Surface Pro 4 isn't really meant to be a lap-top laptop, it's a tablet, and this keyboard makes it a usable computer that can replace your laptop in most situations. It's really well implemented, and you can flip it around if you don't want to be hitting the keys when you fold it around the back of the Surface Pro 4.

Keys are spaced apart better than on the surface 3. Easy to connect and disconnect from the Surface.

My only gripe is that first much is a surface pro cost this thing should be included with it. It is a necessity. My only gripe is that for as much as the surface pro cost this thing should be included with it. It is an essential accessory feels great in hand and removes in installs beautifully.

I love this type cover. It's so much better than previous versions and the trackpad is perfect. It's glass and tracks amazingly well. Best trackpad on a Windows device hands down. Maybe second to the Surface Book. Really great typing experience with a unique and great tactile feel to the keys.

This keyboard blows away the SP2 and SP3 keyboards. Just like a laptop keyboard and great trackpad. The trackpad is sensitive. I need to figure out how to configure it so you have to touch just a little harder to select and object.

A great complimenting addition to the SurfacePro 3. Makes the computer function like a laptop for those times where a tablet is just not efficient. Protects the screen perfectly when closed and deactivates the keys when folded completely back when using as a tablet, so you don't have to disconnect the keyboard every time. Just wish it had a pen loop for the surface pen... I thought the one I was purchasing had one, but it did not.

Overall the keyboard is nice. No problems whatsoever. Got it in black, east to clean.

Keyboard response is fast and accurate. Once you get used to its size, it's a pleasure to use. The track pad gets its fair share of criticism, but with a touchscreen you'll soon forget what the track pad is even for. For need of more intensive cursor pointing, just get a Bluetooth mouse.

This keyboard is great. Has a soft touch and doubles as a wonderful cover protecting the screen. Makes using my new Surface Pro much easier to use. Great product.

I was expecting a flimsy keyboard like other tablet keyboards, but this one is great! It attaches to Surface Pro 4 easily, stays attached, acts as a cover for the screen and tilts at an angle for easy typing. The performance is excellent and I am happy I bought it.

For this being a detachable keyboard that is somewhat soft to the touch (not they keys though, which is good) this thing really stands up to the day to day abuse that a portable computer goes through. The color is a tad bland but that was my fault. Great product.

Works great, its actually bake lite, Like every keyboard should be. It's light, and easy to remove if you just want to go tablet mode. Worth the extra few bucks !

I purchased the Pro Type Cover along with the Pro 4 and it works great, the keys are spaced just right and the track pad provides more than enough room to comfortably maneuver the screen. I would definitely recommend this Type Cover if you will be using Excel or Word frequently.

Great keyboard, really comfortable to use. Took a little getting used to for me since the left click on the track pad seems, to me at least, a little further to the left then it should be. The keyboard though is a necessity if you really want to get the most out of your SP 4.
