This worked quite nicely with my Surface Pro 2017 model. I purchased it as an interim until my preordered signature edition came in with the new SP, and decided to keep it as a spare. The rubbery feel of the palm rest isn't as nice as the alcantara (or whatever they call the felt carpeting on the new ones) but the backlight on it is MUCH brighter than the new signature type cover, so it's worth keeping around just for that!

The keys are very responsive and feel natural to type on. The mouse pad is large enough to use comfortabily while not being in the way while typing. The magnetic connection to the tablet is seamless and fits correctly every time (you aren't trying to line it up perfectly, just slide it in the vacinity and it does the rest) The color schemes are cool, though I choose black which looks nice with the black boarder of the tablet.

Perfect for this Surface 4. Gives it protection on one side, easily detaches, and love the color.

I wanted a keyboard for my new Surface Pro 4. After review I decided that the version with the fingerprint recognition wasn't worth the extra cost. This keyboard works meets all my needs.

The keys are spaced more towards a tradtional laptop so typing is much more fluid for heavy handers. The bigger trackpad is also helpful. The one flaw is the narrow section has weaker magnets than the original so it's too easy to go from an elevated keyboard to a flat keyboard on accident.

Very comfortable to type. Also, I love the layout and the additional functions. Very convenient.

Really satisfied! I had to shop at several different Best Buys to find the color i wanted, but am completely satisfied when i did find it. Love how the keys light up in the background.

I damaged my original surface cover so this is a replacement. Works seamlessly. love the color, it attaches magnetically to the surface and acts as a cover. The keyboard is very comfortable to use. My surface is my primary work device so I am on the keyboard a lot. The track pad is large and sensitive, lower left and right sides of pad act like mouse buttons and actually have a responsive click when you use them.

The keys are spaced well apart. Great trackpad- smooth as silk. The pen is absolutely amazing with a discrete erase button that serves multiple other functions depending upon how you click it. It feels great in the hand and attaches to your unit by magnets (not powerful enough that it does not get displaced when it's in my carry bag). Overall the cover is sturdy, durable and when attached to the SP4, it feels like a top class laptop

This keyboard is very much like most small laptops. A 10 key would be a great addition, but obvious space limitations make that touch. The response takes a little getting used to, but is quickly routine. The touchpad is large and can be in the way, but works well, is easy to use and responds in a timely fashion. The cover works well for light duty protection, though if you are planning on packing it in your backpack, suitcase or anywhere that you don't have a specified space for it, I recommend getting a sleeve. The cover does not really secure closed and can allow the screen and buttons to be accessed easily.

This is a keyboard only, it is lightweight, and snaps either directions that you would like to.

Connects easily and works with multiple versions of the Surface (so I won't need to buy a new keyboard if I get a newer tablet); seems to be well-made; nice accessory.

Best investment for Surface. Serves the needs of protection and typing.

This is a great keyboard for the surface pro, when folded it is still super slim and light.
