The keyboards features are an improvement over the last few years. I like the light up feature and the ease of using the keys.

The Surface Pro Type Cover is an absolute must for the SP4. It is absolutely amazing in every sense of the word--so good that it is almost inappropriate for the SP4. The keyboard is fantastic--plastic keys that somehow feel very expensive, and the trackpad, although small, is larger than the previous SP3 Type Cover and is very responsive.

Works great, reliable, easy to connect, and beautiful color.

My husband got a faster computer for streaming sports events. I got a key board with backlit keys. Perfect for both of us when traveling.

After having some flimsy iPad keyboards in the past, I was skeptical of this keyboard especially for how expensive is it. I was pleasantly surprised at how well build it felt. The keys feel really good and it even has a backlight. Obviously it's the perfect companion and I'd say must have for the Surface Pro. I just wish I had bee a little cheaper.

This was not an easy purchase . Item not in store at first but then all of a sudden found it by a supposedly knowledgeable associate only to find out it was the wrong one and I had to bring it back. That was a fiasco the return dear returned and sold me the same wrong keyboard. Unbelievable. Had to get a manager involved. But it is a good keyboard.

This is a great upgrade to previous type covers. I like how it is has a firm hold to the screen unlike the previous ones that dangled.

Is it perfect no, does it feel like a real keyboard, no. Is it the perfect keyboard for the Surface experience absolutely yes. The feel is good, really good to me and the things perfect fit to the surface is excellent. Make the Surface the perfect travel tool better. And the back lighting get on a plane of that red eye, perfect.

This keyboard is pretty amazing to type on. I didn't think the Surface Pro 3 keyboard was bad, but after typing on this new one.... Wow!

I had the type cover that was out with the SP3. This is a nice upgrade. The keys are slightly spaced farther apart and it makes it easier to type with out hitting the other keys. Also the touch pad is larger and feels smoother as you glide your fingers across. The other type cover will do just fine but if you have the extra money go for it.

Without this the pro4 has not been a success as I feel personally without keyboard sometime feel helpless. Very nice feel and practical

I purchased my SP4 with an off brand cover, and was not very happy with it. After reading some reviews I decided to try the MS version. I wasn't disappointed. It's the best keyboard for a mobile device that I have ever used. Keys are surprisingly the right fit, very reposnsive and it STAYS connected. Simply a great keyboard cover!!

Bought this for my surfacepro very happy with it. Does not dislodge with movements but does connect & disconnect simply.

The new version is much better than the original. The key separation is definitely an improvement. Only complaint is that it still flexes some if you have it at angle when you type. Feels more like a laptop keyboard now.

Bright color, durable, easy to kerp clean, easy to use.

As someone who owned a Surface Pro 3 Keyboard, I definitely recommend the upgrade to this newer model. The key spacing is great, and really increases typing accuracy. The travel of the keys has also been improved for better feedback. The trackpad is worlds more accurate versus the prior model as well. The only thing I would improve upon is likely a software issue - sometimes the Surface Pro 4 does not recognize that the keyboard has been attached and the device must be shut down for it to link correctly.

The Surface Pro Type Cover is a well designed and is unparalleled in it's arena. Not only do you have a trackpad and backlit keyboard but the cover folds flawlessly over the Surface Pro 4 providing an extra layer of protection. The Surface Pro 4 a great device without the Pro Type Cover and becomes a phenomenal device with the cover.

The but is that there are other options available IF you don't need a keyboard when you travel. Logitech makes very good bluetooth keyboards and mouse combos to use this as a desktop replacement option. With that said, if you are getting this to be mobile, the keyboard from microsoft is actually pretty good. Keys are responsive and having it protect the screen it a plus. I prefer all around protection on my tablets, but I guess with the kickstand on the Surface, that does not work.

This keyboard is comfortable to use and securely attaches to the computer. The keypad is responsive and the keys give good feedback.

Keyboard works great! It easily snaps onto the Surface pro.
