It is showing signs of wear/tear with minimal amount of usage. Fingerprint reader is also buggy; 2/5 times does not identifies. Was expecting much more quality from an official Microsoft Accessory.

was a good keyboard until it wasn't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My keyboard stopped working after recently running a Windows 10 update on my Surface Pro 4. To clarify, the keyboard works fine on other compatible Surface tablets - just not on mine, so technically this review should probably be under Surface Pro 4. I have, however, for all practical purposes, a keyboard that doesn't work, and this review is a warning to those who want to buy this item. Microsoft techs at the Microsoft store couldn't fix the issue. They said my options were to pay $450 for out of warranty repair (to fix something that a Microsoft Windows update broke), or get the trade in value of my Surface Pro 4 towards a new model. I would have almost believed that this was a wear and tear issue, however, upon researching the issue on Microsoft/Surface support it turns out this is a very common issue for the Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 (for which Microsoft has no fix). If you own an out of warranty Surface Pro 3 or 4, and you don't already own this cover/keyboard - save yourself some grief and go with a third party keyboard.
