The surface keyboard functions as intended. It’s feels really nice. It’s a pleasure to type with. The trackpad can be a touch bigger even though it already is compared to previous model, but a bit more would be nice. That would however sacrifice palm rest space. And I rather have that tbh. The slim pen 2 feels good in the hand, which I really wasn’t expecting. The amount of functionality the pen has great. They both work really well with the surface pro 8. I cant say anything bad about it. If there is one thing I would say, the price, but they will begin going on sale next month I’m sure because of the holidays, assuming you can find them in stock.

The keyboard and pen work great. The fact that the pen recharges is an improvement over the pens that came with the older Surface Pros that require AAAA batteries.

Wonderful Keyboard, very interactive with the Surface Pro. It snaps right on, and there's no charging necessary since it is powered by the Surface. The Slim pen gives the closest feeling to pen and paper, coming from an electronic aspect. You can even change the intensity of the haptic feedback from the slim pen, and so much more. Hats off to Microsoft for this pen and keyboard duo, they truly have outdone themselves!

I had the surface book. Switched to surface pro. I like the new setup with the attachable keyboard. Having area for the pen is clutch. So far, i like it.

I have had every version of Surface computers including pens and keyboards. This version is by far the best. The rechargeable pen built into the keyboard is very convenient.

Good pen and keyboard to go with the newer Surface Pro devices. I've had these keyboards before, but the addition of a space to hold and charge the Slim Pen 2 is a good upgrade from prior versions. I have to take off a star because the cover for these keyboards is good to start, but after prolonged use tends to start separating from the actual hardware underneath. I don't hold out a lot of hope that this keyboard will fare better than the covers on past models. Still, this has worked well, is recognized by my SP9 without having to reconnect it, and will be part of my regular use.

After buying my slim pen i realized the laptop that came with my surface doesnt have the charging station for the pen, so i returned the pen and bought this bundle. Definitely saving a little more with this deal plus the keyboard is as good as the others.

Great add on to the surface pro 9 and awsome that it comes with a surface pen which kind of help justify the high price. Overall it can be cheaper but you cant have a surface without the cover.

This keyboard is an improvement because of the ability to carry the surface pen around with you and not have to worry about it falling out. The thing that this keyboard is lacking for me is the sturdiness.. It's somewhat sturdy but it's a thin piece of plastic and since it sits at an angle, because i am a fast typer, i feel like i am going to break the keyboard or i am going to press down on it too hard.. It has a little bit of a bend when that happens.. Now I can lay this flat down and not tilt it up, and that makes it feel a bit more sturdy. I would like to see additional keyboard types for this that connects to it and uses the power of the surface pro itself rather than a bluetooth keyboard or something of that nature. Overall, it's a good keyboard, and protects the screen when it's closed. It also has a trackpad on it for the mouse, Overall, it's a good purchase.

honestly i’ve been using it with my surface for a year and compared to the apple keyboards it’s not amazing it’s not structured so you have to use the flap in the. ack of the tablet to keep everything up right and and the mouse pad is too loud if you click but it’s comfortable and there’s no alternative if you get the device

Strong magnet, backlit keys, nice pen holder and sensitive touchpad. A good addition. Taking out 1 star for the price. A keyboard shouldn't be this expensive.

I first purchased the MS pro 8 and had it for about a month along with an older refurb pen. Got the keyboard with slim pen two and love both items. Keyboard is super easy to add/remove and is light weight. The slim pen 2 is far better than the older pens and way more responsive and has a better feel in my hand. Only advice, is choose a good case that supports the keyboard functionality and supports the stand on the back of the surface. Pen charges on the keyboard only not magnetically to the surface like the previous pens.
