This paired with the new Surface Pro 8 has really helped our business. Probably the only thing that is kinda odd to work with is how the pencil hides away, making it difficult to quickly access when you need it. Otherwise this thing is perfect.

But I was thinking it will work even when disconnected from surface pro. Unfortunately, it doesn't work when disconnected from the device.

We ended up returning it as we found a comparable keyboard and pen on the internet for about 1/3 the cost.

It is extremely overpriced IMO, and I also think Microsoft should include it in the price of the SP8. Typing on this keyboard case is very good, and this Keyboard's stiffness is improved dramatically. Overall I love this Keyboard with the pen. I feel it cost too much, but it is a must-have.

The keyboard quit working. I have troubleshooted everything I have found and cannot get it to work again. It was good while it lasted, however not worth paying over $200 for only a year and a half of life.
