We liked it better than the flat key board. It is nice that the keyboard lights up. Easier to see at night. It is great that it is portable.

This keyboard designed by Microsoft for the Surface 2 Pro is a perfect fit for my daughter's tablet. She loves the deep purple color and that it matches the black tablet. She had no problem hooking it up to the tablet and the keys are easy to use. There is enough texture on the keys so you have no problem using it.

Very lightweight and portable, folds up while connected. Magnetically connects.

We purchased the type cover 2 for my daughter for Christmas. Because of the price we purchased a touch cover for myself. The type cover was certainly the way to go. It has raised keys for a true keyboard feel and those keys are backlit so they are easy to see. The case connects magnetically so there is no question about how to connect it. It does the work for you when you put it close to the Surface. It also acts as a cover for the screen when not in use. Yes they are pricey, but as I have found out, you get what you pay for.

This is perfect protection for my son's ipad. And he loves having a keyboard too!

If I had kept the Microsoft Surface, I would have used this a lot. However, the Surface was not what I needed for a secondary computer, so I returned both.

Had the low profile touch pad when I purchased my surface but I didn't care for it when typing anything longer than a few sentences. This one is much more like a the traditional key pad I am used to and works quite well.

Not a bad product. For the price it feels a little flimsy. When I go to hit some of the keys they don't register and makes it slightly frustrating. Still makes a good cover and while in class I can still take notes

I was going to hold off and get the battery cover Microsoft will be offering in 2014, but I am so glad I got this cover. The surface pro 2 already gets great battery life and I love how this lights up. I was nervous about typing while on my lap, but it has exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

I think this keyboard cover is pretty good. My only complaint is its price tag. A much better feel than the soft touch key/cover.

I bought this as an open box, and it still functions really well. There are not issues with it, and it really aids my satisfaction with the Surface tablet. Also, I appreciate that it disables itself automatically when it's flipped over so I don't have to worry about pressing keys by mistake. The backlight is very useful as well. This was a great supplement to the tablet.

The keyboards works great with the tablet and it's very convenient.

Typing on the keyboard is much better than the screen. Outside of the actual act of typing, the cover has some short-comings. The magnetic connection feels stronger than it needs to be. When closed, the cover doesn't stay closed on its own, like most traditional cases/covers. Since a tablet is typically used more for touch than typing, it is inconvenient to keep the keyboard attached when using the surface as a tablet. I would only recommend as there are limited options for the surface.
