This keyboard is one of two I believe, I have had the opportunity to test both of them before purchasing my device. This product has the best feel, and the trackpad is very very useful. It also has a tactile click when pressed.

I really like this keyboard. It is very fast and the keys have a good feel to it. I like this keyboard better than the slimmer type to be honest. I've owned this keyboard for a few weeks and it actually improved my typing speed.

I just recently bought a Surface RT and was concerned about the keyboard. I bought the keyboard that was a little more expensive and it was worth it. It reminds me of my laptop keyboard so much! It's has been a easy transition.

If you buy the Surface or Surface Pro, this is the keyboard to get. It simply can't be beat. Eat your heart out Apple, this is what tablets having been waiting for! No more hitting backspace when I meant to type the letter M!

Great add-on for Surface. The keyboard feel is pretty good and compares well with laptop. Actually better than laptop as it is thinner. Only limitation is it is flexible, so if using on lap, it can be a littl e hard to use.

love it only $10 more dollars to get the type from the touch also wished the back was more nice looking looks like felt a lighted keyboard would be awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife doesn't really care for the touch screen even though we installed the screen protector she's worried about scratching the screen so the detachable key pad really helps and protect and is easily installed and used

Excellent keyboard, good tactile response, and doubles as a screen cover / case for the surface. Perfect product, and well worth the extra couple of bucks versus the "touch cover" which i found nearly impossible to use.

This keyboard is a must for surface owners. I tried the touch keyboard and it didn't cater to my likings, but the touch keyboard is great and feels fabulous. It also protects the screen when not in use, which is great,

I chose this keyboard to go with my Microsoft surface cause it was the most like a real keyboard. The fact the keyboard attaches so easily to the surface makes it great if you want a tablet with laptop capabilities.

I purchased this keyboard rather than the touch cover keyboard because I wanted the more "real" feel of keys being pressed than touched. It is compact, but I have small hands so that is not an issue for me. I do miss a control key on the right side of the keyboard, though. The keyboard makes an excellent cover for the front of the Surface, providing protection to the screen. It's lightweight, snaps away easily from the tablet when not needed, and has a felt back that helps keep the keyboard from sliding. It costs more than the touch keyboard, but in my opinion is worth the difference.

Keypad for surface does two things for me. If using surface on desk then it's a keypad to type and then if I need to pack in bag the keypad covers the face of the surface to protect it. Finding new way to use my surface and keypad!!!

I have several keyboard cases for the different devices that I own. Problem is that the key spacing is not always conducive for touch typists. This keyboard does the job. I would have liked the keys to be a little heavier to the touch...sometimes I do not know if I pressed hard enough to get type the letter. Magnet does latch on to the tablet like the commercial and I have never had it accidentally disconnect. I have to consciously pull it apart. I bought this originally for the RT tablet version (with the intent of getting the Pro later and using the same keyboard) so now the total weight of the tablet is more than I would like but comparable to ipad/Zagg folio combo but I still have no qualms about the performance nor the functionality.

This is a must have for surface if you intend getting work done. The touch keyboard -in my opinion- is a joke. Did not add any significant thickness or weight over the touch cover. Very speedy and accurate typing. Highly recommended.

Tried the Touch and went back and bought the Type - no comparison I can speed type on it on my knee. Only complaint is that it really needs a magnet to keep it closed against the surface when carrying it - that would get it 5 stars

If you watch the commercials on TV and see them flip the keyboard onto the Surface it's not a fluke. They go together that easily and never misalign. It is a great combination and I am totally satisfied with it!

Love that this keyboard is similar to a regular keyboard. Also love the fact that you are able to attach or detach the keyboard depending on what you are using the Surface for. Compact, lightweight yet durable.

Overall this is a great keyboard. If you are not a fan of the touch keyboard then this is a keyboard for you. One problem is that you can't know if caps lock is on, but I haven't found that to be a big issue.

While not inexpensive, it is worth the investment. This keyboard attached the the Surface table makes for an incredibly compact, yet highly functional laptop/desktop replacement solution. You won't regret it.

This keyboard works great. It also works as a great way to protect the screen. It locks into the tablet so easily also.
