This keyboard is great for typing and a significant improvement over the touch keyboard for large, productivity typing. I've had two touch and this type keyboards with an RT and a Pro. This one is leaving marks on my screen. Can't recommend it since the screen seems to be negatively impacted by the keys rubbing against it while stored. I'll have to go back to the touch keyboard for regular use and storage and just carry this as a second keyboard for more intense typing events.

The keyboard comes in handy when using windows seven since it has the mouse pad. Without the mouse pad the words are to small to use your finger tips. With windows eight. the keyboard is good because it doesn't block the screen and that makes it easier to keep typing. The keyboard also makes a good and protective cover.

The keyboard worked great. It functioned very much like a normal keyboard and the fact that you get some kind of feedback (like button press / click) helps with touch typing. This is a must have for any MS Surface owner.

Love this tablet runs all windows7 software as well as windows 8. Boots up instantly. My model is 128 GB with a 64 GB add on memory card, for desktop work an external monitor is a must as the high Rez display is hard to see unless close up A real joy to travel with when compared to my previous luggable

I use this little mini tablet- PC gadget for work. The easer of access is fantastic, battery lasts me all day 0900-1700; however, the battery life drains itself even when powered down. Many choice of apps in the Microsoft App Store. You can sync it to your laptop Or desktop.

Love this keyboard because I can feel when I press a key. Only downside is it has to be on a solid surface to work reliably. If it's in my lap or on top of the covers in bed it doesn't always register a key punch.

It's a fine product, but if you are buying the Surface Pro to really interact with the screen, but still need the keyboard (using Photoshop for instance) you'll find it absolutely unusable. Better to buy a small bluetooth keyboard for use with this. This product would be MUCH better if it either came as a separateable, rechargeable bluetooth option, or if MS would put out a rechargeable adapter you could snap on the end of it. Til then, it's just an overpriced protective cover and I'm keeping the bluetooth Keyboard next to it.

Easy to use screen through protector, crystal clear, doesn't alter picture quality, can see fingerprints more than non HD protectors, but worth the small disadvantage.

Going from the touch to the type cover has really made a difference! I really had trouble typing quickly with the touch, but the type cover really is a great option. Now I can type and not have to worry about whether or not l missed anything. Makes for a quick review!

I have found that for the most part the Keypad is not needed. The on screen keypad works great. The keypad fits perfect and makes a great cover and screen protector when transporting the Tablet. When used it extends the battery life, or adds to the battery usage.

Decent keyboard. Not that bad, but not worth the price. There isn't that many good alternatives though. I wouldn't recommend it, but I would go so far as to say that I would discourage it. wait till the price comes down I guess.

This keyboard is convenient and easy to use. I like the depress-able keys as opposed to the touch keys. The only thing I don't like is the touch pad for the mouse. It seems to be a little hinky. Works good enough though.

The Type Cover for the Surface Pro does exactly what you want it to do. It attaches quickly and easily with a "snap" and works as a full functioning keyboard. With a quick close, the computer goes into standby mode and acts as a cover to protect the screen.

It works quite nicely. I believe MS should have included a keyboard with the tablet to begin with rather than the consumer having to pay an addition $130 to make the tablet functional as a PC.

This works well with my surface pro and it lights up. Sometimes though I have to disconnect and reconnect it to get it to work. I would give it 5 stars except for the AWFUL Customer service. All micro$oft cares about is $$$. Not all all about Customer Service. I spent $899 for the pro ,$129 for the keyboard, and $160 for the extended warranty. They made a product with a flimsy kick stand which is now broken and They have told me that it is NOT covered by either the regular or extended Warranty and it is only 5 months old. I can no longer support their products.

Easy to use. A great keyboard/cover for the Surface. I'm glad I spent the extra money for this over the one that came in the bundle.
