Must have for the Surface Pro

This keyboard is a must if you have a Surface or a Surface Pro if you do any serious amount of typing. This keyboard feels pretty comfortable. It works if it isn't on a flat surface, but when it flexes a bit, it is slighty hard to type. It takes weird angles to make it flex though, so it hasn't been a common occurrence for me. I use the surface and this keyboard in my lap without problems. This seems pretty durable, I've had this for a month now and it has done well for me in different conditions.

The surface type cover is a great cover and useable keyboard fro mobile tablet use. It is durable and responsive. The connection design to the tablet is flawless

    Can you say "AMAZING?"

I bought the 64G Surface RT bundle package with the touch pad cover. Oh, my aching hands and I've never seen so many typos in my entire life! I'm a novelist and needed a light weight PC to replace the netbook I use to write while on the go. I love the RT and the type key pad. You can go wrong with the combination. The type pad is responsive, cool and smooth to the touch, and light weight. It adds almost no weight to the unit itself. Trust me, it's worth the extra money.

    Great keyboard accessory

Not loving the idea of typing on a touch screen, this was a must buy accessory for the surface. In the store, I found I liked typing on this much better than the touch cover or on the tablet itself. It's a great keyboard, haven't had any keystroke issues with it. The only complaint I'd have is it should be less flexible. It doesn't stay completely flat, but is sturdy enough to type on your lap with. I'd also like to see this come bundled with the surface rather than being a standalone add on.

Great add-on for a nice tablet

This is a great add-on for the Surface Pro, and it's a no-brainer compared to the touch keyboard. The touch just isn't as responsive and the lack of feedback for keystrokes is very annoying. The only negative I would have to say is that it occasionally acts like it's disconnected (cursor stops responding to the touchpad). However, when I push the spacebar, the error corrects itself, so it's a minor inconvenience. Great comfortable keyboard overall.

    Worked Great

This keyboard was far better than the so-called "touch" keyboard that was the alternative. This keyboard was very lightweight, thin but strong enough to double as the cover for the Surface. After trying it and the "touch" version, this one wins hands down.

    Good Keyboard for the surface

Bought with the surface pro, because it feel better than the touchpad option, the keys are great but the touchpad is an average performer. I rather the back of the keyboard to be like the touch cover, because it feel like cheap fabric

Great for typing, does not protect

I love the Surface, but onscreen typing reduces my speed by about 20 words per minute. The touch keyboard is responsive and large enough that I can type at full speed (80 wpm). I've been using it for a few weeks, and have had no issues whatsoever. My only complaint is the lack of protection, My prior device was an iPad. The cover I had wrapped around the device, which provided great protection from minor drops, bumping walls, etc. The Touch keyboard does not. Having both the Touch keyboard and a protective cover doesn't seem like a good match. I wish I could find a single cover that provided both responsive typing and adequate protection. Until I do, the Touch keyboard will go with me everywhere.

    Great Keyboard and Cover

This is a great keyboard and cover for the Surface. I am not used to the touch keyboard and love the feel and responsiveness of a regular keyboard. This gives me the responsiveness I am familiar with and the comfort I love. The keyboard is slightly small, but you get used to it after a while. Either keyboard is a great addition as it doubles as a cover to protect your screen.

    Great keyboard for my surface!

I love how I can easily remove and attach this keyboard to my surface, but I do wish that the backside of it was more of a protective type of material. However, it is definitely sturdy and in the end, I am just extremely protective of my overall expense. It has normal keyboard feel and sound, (I like hearing the keyboard clicks as I type). I couldn't go without this keyboard!

    Great Keyboard/Cover

I bought this cover instead of the touch cover with my Surface Pro. I use it about 75% of the time that I use a keyboard and it works great. In my home office I use a Logitech external keyboard, but really don't notice much difference. I don't think I've had a keystroke "missed" since I bought it 3 weeks ago. As a road warrior, this thing is great!

Learning curve for Windows 8, but great overall

Works as a tablet and laptop replacement. Have a USB hub to plug in an external hard drive and scanner (due to only 1 USB port) and I have a 64gb micro sd card. Works great. No memory issues as a result. When I want to get up from my desk, I unplug the USB hub and away I go. I now prefer the Windows 8 metro to the old way as getting what I access often is just as easy (as the start menu pin items) and getting everything else is easier. Outlook 13 takes a little getting used to but also an improvement. Sends video to xbox 360 seamlessly. My laptop struggled with it. Very happy.

    Great keyboard for heavy use

This keyboard is perfect for users who want to use the Surface more like a laptop. Although very light, the keyboard is remarkably spacious and the key travel is fantastic. This is a must have for heavy users. The only down-side is that is isn't flexible - a trade-off that is a must in order to make it sturdy enough for power typing.

Works great, nice texture, easy to use. I have not had any problems, key sensitivity is good and it stays attached just fine for me. Works great as a cover. A little expensive for something that should be included in the high price of the surface pro.

Great accessory for the Surface Pro

The keyboard is the Surface Pros' salvation for a business notebook for travelers. It works very well. Takes a little getting use to the touch of the keys but is very responsive and not a bad layout for big fingers. If you are going to buy the Surface Pro for business use I recommend getting this keyboard.

The Type Cover is a capable keyboard. It works well with the Surface Pro and is easily attached and removed. Typing is not as easy as it is on a full-sized keyboard, but much easier than the on-screen version.

I use it for business and do a lot of typing on long documents. Keys are responsive and have good feel, which is why I chose it over the other keyboard. This and the Surface Pro aren't very good if you use the system on your lap, but not a problem for me since that's not how I use it.
