Definitely functional, but made of very flimsy materials. Great as a cover, but I use a separate wireless keyboard and mouse whenever i can.

This is the second keyboard that I have had to buy for my Surface Pro 3 which I have owned for less than 1 year because the Left Click on the touchpad failed to work. There is not a replacement warranty sold with this product (I would have bought it with my other warranty), so it seems as if Microsoft figure an optional way to get more money from me after I had bought what I thought was there top of the line Flagship unit.

I love how im able to turn on the brightness in the dark so im able to see the type cover and type .

Could not get the surface pro to fit into the case. Brought it back to Best Buy and 4 different sales associates could not get it to fit the surface pro. Upon opening each case in the store, none would fit the surface pro. Returned it to Best Buy. The store actually left them all on the shelf to sell even though none would fit the surface pro!

the dynamic duo for productivity. the touch pad, I could say, is accurate. better from predecessor.

I love the size and portability of this keyboard. Size and shape of the keys makes it easy to type.

got great price on clearance- hooked up in store to make sure it worked since we live an hour away

Was disappointed that the m key stuck on the first keyboard I got within the first week I owned it, so I had to return it for another.

so much better than the touch keyboard. If you get a surface, get the type keyboard to go with it.

It does everything it's supposed to do! I love it! It's perfect. And it comes in different colors!

Not surprisingly it works with the Surface Pro 3. It is a little small even for someone with small hands, so I bump the wrong key often.

I like it however the texture and material makes me concerned that it will get stained. Surface is top heavy so it can be wobbly on lap.

Makes the Surface much more versatile and able to use it more as a laptop in addition to a tablet.

Perfect accessory for the surface 3. Hooks up seamlessly and provides protection for the screen.

The look and feel are great for me and I really like the lighted keys for lower light situations

If you are planning to buy Surface 3, this is the must buy accessory. Go for it. I'm loving it.

I feel like this keyboard could break or malfunction anytime soon. I'm afraid to detach the keyboard from the tablet because I feel like I will rip it or break it in some form. Probably my own fears. The keyboard also gets too dirty easily. I leave it for just a moment and there's already specks of dust. The bright side is that I have a keyboard to type with, and it hasn't malfunctioned yet. (It better not anytime soon).

This is a perfect compliment to your surface. I would like it much more if it had a battery inside of it and Bluetooth connectivity
