I really like the back lit keyboard. Keys are not as responsive as I hoped for and not worth the $130 price tag.

It is smooth and easy to type at, yet I didn't like the touch pad and I felt it is heaver than what it should be.

I bought this thinking that it would be like a regular keyboard, but its a different kind of experience

Touch pad became sticky after 1 month of minimal use. Other buttons worked quite well Maybe I got a lemon.

Issues after about a year with the mouse pad not responding... Yearly replacement :(

This keyboard should have come with the tablet. It is way over prices for a passable keyboard.

this is the 2nd one we've tried and still doesn't work.

Does not have an "Insert" key, which is very helpful went doing Quicken. My cursor freezes

Within 60 days, one of the keys quit working, another 30 days another didn't work

Connects well with the surface. Should have been included with the initial purchase.

I bought this the other day and I think the black color is better than the blue.

It's okay....gets the job done but the constant missing keystrokes is annoying

the one I received was broken. However the best buy store did replace it.

It is much better than the previous version, but it still feels flimsy.

Recommend this 100% for ever Surface owner, must buy one.

The new type cover for the Surface Pro 3 is great. It's larger, easier to use, and greatly improves the experience of the device. The larger trackpad combined with the change in texture has been fantastic. It feels more responsive, and thus, easier to navigate and click around. The adjustable options (lay flat or mag mount to the Surface# provide different heights for typing - which are helpful to improve usability. Backlit keys are also nice in lower light situations #i.e. in the evenings). Color choices are good - including the dark blue available at Best Buy. I am a fan of the purple, which carries on with this version.

When I picked up my SP3, the associate asked me if I wanted to get the type cover as well. I declined thinking I would use my bluetooth keyboard and the pen. I returned to the store two days later to purchase this keyboard and I could not be happier. It is a top quality device that works seemlessly with the SP3. I just wish there was some sort of bundle option. That probably would have been the tipping point at the time of purchase to go ahead with the type cover at that time instead of having to return to the store and wait in line again to complete the package. I use this keyboard with the STM Dux case and feel the device is well protected and completely functional.
