Best choice for Surface Pro 3

After receiving the Surface Pro 3, I needed to choose a keyboard and the type cover is the best choice. the click of the keys gives enough feel that you don't miss having the traditional keyboard.

The new surface pro 3 key pad is great, the surface 3 key pad had actual keys versus the surface 2 that had touch pad keys. The only reason for 4 stars is I actually liked the touch pad key pad. Hoping this becomes available for the surface 3 soon.

Added value well worth the price. Functions as stated. Has a nice feel. Added protection for tablet. All in one nice convenient package. This is what moves the surface to a laptop replacement.

Good--Kind of the only option anyway

While you certainly could get a wireless/bluetooth/usb keyboard and mouse for your Surface Pro 3, in terms of keeping the screen safe and the aesthetics of the tablet in tact, the keyboard is kind of the only option. The "snap-in" feature is great and the back-lit keys are definitely a plus, the touchpad could use some improvement. If not using a separate mouse this thing wears out fairly quickly and the "click" feature ends up sticking on occasion. Again, a separate mouse will solve this problem so it isn't a major point for me at least. If you're worried about clogging up the one USB port on the Surface Pro3 with keyboard and mouse accessories, always remember it has bluetooth and wireless capabilities. A USB hub or docking station will give you more ports as well! All-in-all, a pretty good accessory for pretty much the only option anyway.

The type cover for the Microsoft Surface Pro it what turns the tablet into a laptop it works fantastic and doubles as a cover when the tablet is not in use. In my opinion it is a required item unless you are only using the Surface Pro as a tablet

I really can't see getting a surface without a keyboard, but it is really nice to be able to choose the color I want. Also I love how the keys have background lighting. It is a nice addition.

The Surface is a nice tablet, but can be difficult to type on quickly. This key pad/cover makes it a pleasure to type whatever you need to quickly and it protects the screen when not in use.

Feel is actually pretty nice- better than many conventional keyboards. This is the third purchased for company Surfaces. The others are up to one year old and all are still functioning fine.

This just completes the package. It should have been standard as far as I am concerned since I wouldn't have bought the Surface without it, but it does a good job without adding very much bulk.

The microsoft type pad is responsive, attaches easily to the surface pro 3 . no problems. easy to type.have used on hard surfaces like table etc, never on lap so far. Am little uncomfortable using it on lap. Dont know why I feel like this.

I type for hours at a time, and love the ability to move around but still have a full keyboard to use. The mouse is far more accurate on this keyboard then the original surface type keyboards.

This device acts as a keyboard and a cover. I can't use a tablet without a keyboard. This model has a nice feel, and I love that the keys are backlite. It snaps easily into the Surface Pro 3.

Like the title says, this keyboard can be a little loud when typing on it, but other than that, the backlighting is great and the magnetic link with the surface pro 3 is a nice touch.

Not as solid of a keyboard as I hoped

If you have a Surface Pro 3 and intend to use it as a laptop replacement, then you should buy a type cover. Just don't expect the type cover to be as solid as a laptop keyboard or even a keyboard cover for most iPad and Android tablets. The cover attaches securely to the magnetic docking connector, but the whole keyboard will flex as you type if not on a flat, solid surface. Still, it is nice to have the integrated trackpad and I don't know of a better solution for the Surface Pro 3. My biggest disappointment was that the loop to secure the stylus doesn't actually come attached to the keyboard. Instead you secure it where you would like and rely on the adhesive backing to hold it securely. Really, I think there should be a better way of securing the stylus to the Surface Pro, with or without the addition of the type cover.

The keyboard is great if you're going to use it while on the go. I usually attach a wireless keyboard. Also, the stylus holder is a bit too flimsy for my liking but it does it's job.

Seriously - if you don't get the keyboard, you're defeating the purpose of having a tablet that can function as a laptop.....! Plus, there's a bunch of different colors you can get.

The keyboard has a great touch and is better than any of my iPad covers/keyboards. The magnet is perfect. No charging is required. I chose black but may purchase a blue just for fun.

It's good, not great. Granted, this is beyond what most netbooks get for a keyboard but it's not as good as a full laptop with a Lenovo keyboard or Steelseries. Still, a good little keyboard that adds minimal weight to the surface.
