I love the way the keyboard sits at a slight angle when I type which makes it so comfortable to use. Only tough decision was deciding which color I liked best!!

The Type Cover keyboard provides great protection for the screen on the Surface Pro 3. I wish the keys had a little more height to them. I find it easier to type if I can depress the keys further while typing.

I go this purple cover for my wife's middle of the road on specs Surface Pro 3 has been great. I gave it to my wife for her birthday and she has been very pleased.

Works wonderfully. Protects the screen when closed and easily detaches for tablet use.

While the Surface Pro 3 is an amazing device, the type cover takes it to another level. In my opinion, it is an absolute necessity. It works just as advertised.

This detachable keyboard is excellent for typing. The keys feel great and the addition of a magnet that attaches to the bottom of the monitor increases comfort while typing. The only bad things about this keyboard is that the computer sometimes does not recognize its inputs. I also wish there were more backlit color options - maybe a keyboard with a customizable LED - but that's just me being picky.

Love that it's back lit. Easy to use. One fault is that unplugging it from the tablet when the screen is off can result in the tablet thinking the keyboard is still there. Annoying but easily resolved.

This keyboard is great because it stays attached to the tablet very strongly and it also comes off very easily. Only thing is that if you dont have it flat on the ground it tends to be loud when tpying

Best idea about this keyboard is the way it looks so delicate and yet it works so well. It's so practical and intuitive. I hope it lasts very long as well.

I own keyboards for iPads and Android tablets so I know they are subjective. However, I think for a keyboard to be useful it should accomplish a few key things. 1. Easy Connection To The Tablet: The Surface keyboard has the magnetic locking mechanism so you don't have to worry about pairing. For that, I give it points because it really does just lock into place and work. Likewise, it disconnects very easily making the tablet portable again. 2. Keys: Some keyboards feel like mush and some keys have awkward layouts. I'm happy to say this keyboard does neither. It doesn't have the tactile feedback of classic PC keyboards, but it does have nice button that you can actually tell when you press. And the layout is pretty standard so I can find all the buttons easily. Of course, there's a few combinations of keys that take a few seconds to find, but overall it is designed very well. 3. Responsiveness: For me, one of the most frustrating things about a keyboard is pressing the button and it not recording properly. Typing is hampered by constantly backtracking to fill in missed characters. The same is true for delays in processing. I tend to read as I type and thinking ahead of the letters appearing on the screen slows me down as well. I'm happy to say this keyboard doesn't suffer from either of those. 4. Portability: For a tablet to be useful, it has to be portable and that includes the keyboard. This keyboard is lightweight and easy to carry which makes it great for portability. However, the same mechanism that gives it points above hampers its portability. They keyboard cannot be detached from the Surface and still work so I do not have the option of setting up the tablet in one place and moving around with the keyboard. I don't know if it's fair to take away a star for a feature that would eliminate 2 other positives, but it's not perfect and I can't choose a 1/2 star.

I highly recommend the type cover with the Surface. I like the feel of the keyboard and I feel like it protects the Surface screen. comes on and off so easy.

It's not as nice as a full keyboard, but it beats the hell out of an onscreen tap keyboard. The key action is good and it doubles nicely as a screen cover.

I got this to go with my Surface Pro 3 and I never really gave much thought to a keyboard, however, after playing with all the laptops in the store I have to say that this is a very comfortable keyboard to use. Lights up nicely (not too bright or too dim), detaches easily and the buttons don't feel like the normal laptop buttons. I'm surprised how great quality it is for a detachable keyboard.

You can always use the screen but its nice to have the option to use the keyboard while sitting at the table with built-in kickstand on the surface pro 3.

The keyboard is exactly how I expected it to be very functional. It has all types of short cuts that are optional and that's a great feature for self!

Works great if your going to use this on a flat surface. My line of work and personal needs didn't mesh well with this product. I think it is a must for the Surface and wonder why it's not included.

Works great, Love the magnetic feature. I reccommend purchasing a darker because the material on the back catches dust and stains easily. I exchanged mines for blue. You can also just by a case too.

After paying for surface it might be painful to shell out extra $ out for this but it's worth every penny!

This is a less than average keyboard, but the only available for the Windows Surface Pro 3.0. Unfortunately, it is only 100% when it is on a flat surface, and I prefer the keyboard to touchscreen for speed and accuracy. Not to mention, I believe mine became worn out due to attaching and detaching it from the Surface Pro? Lastly, there is an odd thing that happens with the mousepad: one half of mine is always getting stuck down, so it clicks when I don't want it to. For the price, the only thing that makes it worth it is that it's the only thing compatible for my device.

I think it is pretty slick how you can go from laptop, to laptop with touch screen to just touch screen. The only problem is it gets dirty. I would like a sleeker option without the fuzz and color.
