The surface pro is somewhat pricey, but it is what is advertised: a tablet that can replace a laptop (or a very portable laptop depending on your starting point). It boots fast, runs fast, has excellent display and touch screen capabilities. The new keyboards are actually decent to use compared to first gen, with nice tactile feedback. Only weakness is touchpad is on small side compared to high end laptops.

I love this keyboard, at first I was intimidated by the price tag but now I see why. The work, thought, and innovation that went into making this product is outstanding. Once again Microsoft, you have outdone yourselves! A special thanks to the Best Buy salesman who convinced me it was a must have. I'm so glad I took his suggestion!

I love this keyboard. I love how it takes he Surface Pro 3 from being a tablet to being a computer I can use at work and at school. I feel like is should come as a package when you buy a Surface but I understand that everyone will want you. But everyone should get one! And the pen it comes with is magic! It writes just like if you are using a real pen and doesn't make your writing look bad at all. Everyone go get one!

As an early adopter I was on the original Surface Pro bandwagon from the start. So I lived with that horrible, albeit colorful, touchpad keyboard for years. This keyboard is by far the best tablet keyboard I've come across. It has great responsiveness, key travel, and the small magnetic riser is a nice touch. I only wish I had this keyboard before I broke all of my fingers on the old one. Can't win 'em all.

It is light weight. Has a pencil holder. Great size for typing. Love the whole package.

I bought the Microsoft Surface Pro # to replace my iPad for work. Since I need to use several of my Microsoft Office programs, I purchased this optional keyboard. It's great! I like the layout of the keys and It's light weight so that it doesn't add any bulk to the Surface. It folds back behind the Surface or can be removed easily if i want to use the Surface as a tablet. I have found nothing to complain about.

I enjoy the portability of the Windows Pro and the keyboard lets me use it like a laptop.

This keyboard works great and I can take it whatever I want, since is very small and thin.

The keyboard works like a charm. Easy to attach and remove. Key back lighting is a bonus.

Uses magnets to snap on easily. Offers protection and looks great, plus very functional.

The cover does what it should, protects my Surface Pro 3's screen, and the keyboard works well, although I struggle with the touch pad. It is often too sensitive when I type and it jumps me all over the place. I think it was designed for the one-finger typists only and not for touch typists. I don't have many programs which work well with the pen yet and it doesn't work quite like a mouse, either. I like the cover a lot and I'm glad to have it. I think $129 is a bit steep for most people, though.

This snap on keyboard is great with my Surface Pro 3. It's trendy in color and such a breeze to snap on and off the tablet. The only downfall I feel that I am noticing is that I really have to push hard on the space bar for it to space. I type 80 WPM and it is really frustrating to have to go back and space everything out. All other keys are smooth to the touch. I suppose I should take it back and see if I can get a new one - I just have to find the time. I highly recommend this for purchase.

I initially thought that the type cover would mainly serve as a cover more-so than a keyboard for me. I didn't even realize Microsoft had improved this to be a backlit keyboard. For those wondering if it is stable, well it is a very light keyboard, so it's not something I'd recommend using on your lap a lot, but is great for lightwieght traveling, especially when having a table to use the keyboard on.

This keyboard is an awesome addition that allows you to basically turn your tablet into a laptop. They keys are backlit, which makes typing in a poorly lit or dark area very easy. The track pad can be a little unresponsive at times and the corners on my keyboard actually have some tears on them even though I've only had the keyboard for about a month now. The durability is the only drawback to this keyboard. Other than that, the keyboard is great and I would recommend getting one.

The keyboard is nice but does not work with most cases. It allows easy use of the tablet but feels a little flimsy.

Essential item for Surface Pro 3. One reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the pen mount. It's a sticker and can come off fairly easily. I understand it gives the user the option of placing it where the user wants but the fact that it's a sticker and can come off somewhat easily detracts it somewhat. Also, it's so thin that it feels flimsy and is a bit difficult to type on. Price is too high as well. Very expensive for what should have been included with the Surface Pro 3.

Keyboard types and responds very well. Red color stands out but is not to bright.
