The keyboard is a must with the surface pro 3. Kind of a scam that it is not included but they have to compete with apple and all their accessories! It has some nice features that are way better than the ipad cover....which isn't even a keyboard. I bought a keyboard for the ipad and never used it. THe surface pro 3 keyboard is great.

THE SURFACE KEYBOARD COVER - GREAT.

I love that it does light up when in use and the magnetic connect is fantastic! Being able to fold it around or remove it is sweet. The keys are a bit closer together; so, for typists, it can be awkward. And, often the touch pad is of better use than the pen. Still, it should be included with the Surface, not available as an accessory only.

As weird as it sounds, one of the major factors for me when deciding on a laptop is the keyboard and how it feels. Well this keyboard made my decision to buy the Surface Pro 3 even easier. I love the feel and response and is a MUST HAVE accessory for every Surface Pro owner.

First, it's a keyboard but what makes this different is that it's easy to detach and reattach. And what makes it unlike other tablets with keyboards is the mouse pad. The mouse pad is like any laptop mouse pad. I would have rated this 5 but like all keyboards with a mouse pad you have to be careful of the sensitivity of the mouse pad.

The keyboard is easier to use then I expected due to it being somewhat cheap feeling. I do like that when putting the screen face down on the keyboard it puts the Surface to sleep and the backlighting is a nice feature. The mouse pad works well. The board could have a more solid build to it as the price is up there for this product.

The pen holder doesnt stick at all once you have to pull the pen out. The whole thing just rips right off, since its a tight fit for the pen, and the adhesive on the pen holder is not great. The keyboard works fine. The track pad is a little small and hard to manage.

    A necessity for Surface

I purchased this with my surface pro 3 because it is a necessity. It is frustrating that it doesnt come included when it is advertised as a tablet that can replace your laptop, but i do love it. It is backlit and works very well. It is even comfortable to use in your lap.

I knew I would use the detachable keyboard, but didn't realize how little or how much it would utilized. I love the ease of use and durability as well as the simple way to clean although limited on option of colors. Awesome accessory among many for my Surface Pro 3.

Case and keyboard all in one is ideal for the pro 3. It makes the machine look ultra modern with a backlit keyboard and amazingly new track pad. Has a holder for my pen and protects my screen it is felt and very cool. I received the black and the front looks more grey.

I love this keyboard. I originally was going to get the black but my daughter talked me into the purple, and I am glad she did. I've been using it for a month and it is much better than the sp2 touch pad. The prior so far is holding up well, not showing dirty or wear.

    Best type cover yet

This type cover design was well thought out with the magnet connect to the bottom of the screen. Response of the keys and going back to the old design of the touchpad made this usable again. Not sure what they were thinking when they integrated the touchpad into the felt.

At first, when I was thinking of getting a surface pro 3, I thought I wouldn't need a keyboard but I bought it anyway with the surface pro and it turns out that I do need it since I want it to function like a laptop and without the keyboard, it function like a tablet which is a little hard to copy and paste. It's a must have.

When I purchased my Surface Pro 3 I thought that I wouldn't like the on screen keyboard, so I bought the type cover. I used it a little at first, but now I really don't bother with it. I guess if I needed to do some heavy typing I would be grateful for having it.

This keyboard snaps into place super quick. On the origianal Suface the keyboard lays flat. This one is angled down slightly and makes it easier to type. Best thing about it is, when you close the keyboard to the Surface, it protects the screen on the Surface.

Its a great case for the Surface Pro 3. I do have one issue with the case and it is why i gave it 4 out of 5, is the pen holder that it comes with would constantly come off. I had to go out and buy strong glue to glue it on because the adhesive it comes with is like using Elmer's children's glue. But other than that, Good buy.

I was nervous about this keyboard just because it did not look very sturdy. However, I have been pleasantly surprised at how solid it is to use and the quality of the build. It is rather expensive, but if you have a Surface, you need to have this keyboard too!

The way to go with the Surface Pro.

This keyboard is the way to go with the Surface. It is a bit more expensive than the normal keyboard but the feedback from the keys feels great. My only complaint is that I have fat fingers and the spacing between keys is not optimal so I have to hit the keys right in the center to avoid accidentally clicking on adjacent keys.

I had a Surface for a while before purchasing a keyboard. The on screen keyboard works great but it limits the screen size and doesn't work well with full screen aps. This keyboard Is worth it to make the Surface feel like a full laptop rather then a tablet.

I'm not a huge fan of flat, non-mechanical keyboards. That being said, the Surface Pro 3 Type Cover is pretty good. I love especially that it has backlighting. I'm not terribly pleased with the trackpad, however, as it has a tendency to eat multi-finger inputs like scrolling and zooming. Overall, though, great product.
